Knights, that takes me back..when my dad was home from sea he’d send me down town age 9 to get his list of food specials and the smell of coffee, the white coated staff and hams are etched in my memory…ironically as I walked out of the shop one morning I was then 12 and he’d kept me off school for the day and as I stepped outside the bus with the lads from my class coming back from the baths passed by and were waving at me. Luckily the teacher never even noticed. bbolt

Gathering round one of many of the TV shops in the town centre after the match on a Saturday to catch the rest of the results, as police dogs yapped around your ankles.

Also spare a thought for the poor Sheff Wed fans 3-0 down at home to Sunderland after 30 mins and their fans streaming out of the ground already.

What was the name of the I think Greek Restaurant in Church Street, I remember before all day opening having an after hours drinks session in there on a Saturday afternoon. We might have bought a meal but I can’t remember now, it was 1976.
