I believe his name wasn't mentioned. The character just said "I used to go out with a footballer. He played for Hartlepool reserves twice." Given the age of the character we're talking some years back.

Not that I watch Emmerdale......

The exact words were "I used to go out with a footballer. He played for Hartlepool reserves twice. But I can't remember his name, he might have had an s in it."
