The Poolie Bunker

We where linked to him last season, he's a left back I think.

don't remember being linked with him, I do remember being linked with Rhys Day who played for them though.

According to a mate who supports Mansfield he is the best player they have had in years and can play right back too. Good thinking if it's true as we definitely need to strengthen our full back areas

Day was when Turner was manager wasn't it?

Anyway I heard the name mentioned last season, and that we where after him.

Stiff competition with Norwich but I suppose we can offer him regular first team football, are you reading this Dimi!?

Lumpy has just posted on Rivals that we are going to sign Paul Mayo from Lincoln (a left back).

I know these are all rumours but with Duffy and now Baptiste, we certainly seem to mean business in readiness for next year.

These rumours will keeps us going for 3 months....................won't they!

We need two full backs really though and if Baptiste can play right back, we wouldn't we sign both of them. Two players for each full back position, and Gary Liddle who can play anywhere... sorted!!

Does anyone think we will break with tradition, and actually sign player(s) more than two weeks before the start of the season? Virtually every summer we are the only club without a new signing until the last minute.

fair point. Don't remember Mayo although I was at Lincoln this year. He seems popular down at Lincoln though.

Would be surprised if we got baptiste as I have heard really good things about the guy but I guess it all depends if he wants to warm the bench at 'narrichh'

The rumour mill has certainly started early, maybe DW plans to change with tradition!

Was talking to Russ Green and Sir Chris of Turner the other day and they said they expected 2 signings by the end of the week. Unfortunately they weren't drunk enough to name names, but did get to witness some quality dad dancing from Sir Chris

Does this involve us paying a club money too? Or are they free agents
I like the sound of Mayo and Baptiste!

I think all the action will happen come 1st June, Mind you Wrexham did snap up Proctor for after the 1st of June

Look forward to whoever we sign, But I do agree Chip we need a keeper, Dimi & Jim were offered new deals.. I believe, Dimi has turned his down and no news on Jim yet, If I'm right?

Both Baptiste & Mayo are getting raving reviews, But as is Danny Graham & It seems Carlisle will be gutted to miss out on him

Unfortunately the only good rush goalie I can think of is Dimi

It would be fantastic to have the squad all but finalised before the hols then together right from the very start of pre-season.

A 100% fit squad brimming with quality new signings and all used to each other's game - I think I'm going to come.
