The Poolie Bunker

Just been looking through one of my old footy mails from sept 6 1986.

Pools drew 2-2 at home to cambridge united, crowd of 2,183.

Boro beat bury in div 3 in front of a crowd of 6,499

Newcastle were beaten by sheff wed in Div 1, a certain Joe Allon got one of the goals in a 3-2 defeat.

Sunderland were beaten 6-1 by Blackburn

Wimbledon were top of division one after a win at watford.

There is a full page spread on the Hartlepool Steelers anyone remember them?

Centre pages is a double spread on the Pools Cardiff trouble a couple of weeks before. Mad day, that, Cardiff, boro and portvale all in town on same day.

Best of all is a full page feature of Debbie, for the Hartlepool Mail Stag Swag Glamour Girl 86-87 season in sussies the lot,

I'll have to try put a few pictures up, some great stuff.

Btw, Pools team that day, Blackburn, Gollogly, Mckinnon, Hogan, Smith, Sword, Honour, Shoulder, Lowe, Gibb, Dixon. Sub Walker.
