Following up on a fax sent to me by the police regarding instructions for all bus organisers to give to drivers, they listed a number of pubs close to the ground that will let away fans in and these are all open but will be closed between the hours of 16.45pm - 17.30pm after the game.
These will let home and away fans in.
The Church Inn on Willbutts lane.
The Cemetery junction of Sandy Lane and Bury Road.
The Ratcliffe Arms Attached to the Motorama Stand.
After reading contradictory postings on the message boards er-indoors rang the Church and spoke to the landlady.
She seemed surprised we were even asking about closing before the game as she said up to Thursday tea time she had no instructions from anyone to close other than the short time after the game(which is the norm) and said away fans are more than welcome.
I hope this clears up any confusion and stops my red hot phone ringing about enquiries as to pubs being open.
Anyone STILL not sure COME AND READ THE BLOODY FAX YOURSELF.
