How come after one of the most promising close seasons in a long time, everything fell off a cliff ..?
The organisation has turned out to be off the Richter Scale shambolic and the signing en masse of players it appears have the heart and commitment of a poodle up against a pit bull is beyond credibility..
It feels like we bought a pup…a pup who talked the talk ( or yapped as it turned out) but shattered when put to the test.
The swaggering bravado of the close season leaves the fans open mouthed in astonishment as reality kicked in and we crashed and burned on the pitch with a regularity that was hard to believe.
We appear on the evidence of our own eyes, to have lost out on the organisational ‘skills’ side of things ( I use the word organise in its loosest terms) in recruitment and on the field brought in players one level above the ability of the average Subuteo figure..(the one with the missing left leg)…
I’ve never known such a season..one that promised so much to crash and burn on take off and then kept repeating the trick every week……it appears our only hope is a miracle and fire sale of damaged stock at all levels.
We’ll have to change the club motto to ‘NEVER SAY TRY’ for those running the show and those showing us up on the pitch.

The players have gone from a holiday camp manager always praising them no matter What.

To a Manager who tells it how it is and the players don't like the Transission.

And now it seems theres a mental phobia to home games.

Sound like a bunch of big girls blouses…..time to grow up and justify their wages, or they’ll have more than a mental phobia to home games ……..seeing as how THEY gave us a phobia home and away games.

Remember we've got a Labour government in and a Labour MP in the town... therefore it's the players who are the victims in all this not the fans, any codswallop about playing at the Vic in a hostile atmosphere is pure bollocks, by my experience at yesterday's game they're getting off lightly. But I won't be going back in a hurry.

pre season pools were marketed like a property for sale by an estate agent. what we ended up viewing on the second look bore no relation to reality. season ticket holders should be offered a re fund as what they bought into with good money was not what they expected.

Now let’s guess who created this alleged hostile atmosphere…?

The players and managers love our fans when they actually win games which normally for years is very rarely.
Even get a few end of game fist pumping like we've won the European Cup.

But for the majority of games don't like playing in front of our fans.

As the last 15 years results prove apart from the DC promotion season and the first few months after that.

The never say die emblem is dead!!!

It is what it is.
Hope =more pain.

Wild hit the nail on the head, "if the players can't hack playing in front of our home crowds then they should go and sign for a club that gets 1000 to 1500 through the gates".
There's no better supporters in the lower leagues imo, but we expect effort and pride from those wearing the shirt.

think we all live in hope once we go through the gate and would love to cheer and shout. its whats on the pitch that stops us giving our full support and get on players backs. never say die is the worst emblem pools could use watching clueless tactics and players sponsored by some ww2 italian general. last saturday was a real example of for three quarters of the game a part time side looked like the full time one.

Maybe the players are quite happy for crowds to be falling off a cliff edge hoping we do actually plummet to that 1500 comfort level for them?

Never say die should have referred to the fans…players come with their own attitude…and they vary.
