As things stand they look pretty scary. Apart from the Tamworth game we’re playing the following:

FGR (A). 12th
Hornchurch (H) 11th
Fylde (A). 3rd
Borehamwood (A). 1st

Can’t see much of a return from those games, especially FGR, Fylde and BW

October looks frightening for a team that has zero confidence.

It’s so depressing that we all now consider that a tough set of fixtures. They used to be the type of teams we hoped to get in the FA Cup 1st round to guarantee us getting into the second round. Sheff Wed or Leeds used to be a tough fixture for us. I still can’t get used to this awful league that has now been our level for getting on ten years.

you had better get used to it as i fear we will be playing at this standard for another ten years at least, no need to worry though as the fixture list will include teams like tranmere, newport, accrington, rochdale, colchester and others with league 2 having boreham, fylde and a few more plastics.

You have to be realistic, even if we were fortunate enough to reach the third round proper and drew a Premiership team it would be double figures with this team.

Clayton in the Mail.
We can still make the play offs and
I don't look at the league table till after 34 to 36 games.

Bullshit.

Who doesn't look at the league table till there's 10 games left? ....what a strange statement. "Oh I've just discovered we're 20 points adrift at the bottom... nevermind".

Not based on Saturdays performance, no passion, no fight, the very least they should have shown for the 500 who were there supporting them on the day, at a shithouse of a club btw!!
Lack of skill and ability is forgiveable but lying down and surrendering isn't, and where was the motivation from our coaching staff?
How many pea-hearted players will be crying off injured before tomorrow night?

Well what looked like a brutal set of fixtures could now be the foundations to stop the rot.

And that Borehamwood fixture just maybe now not be a home banker.

UTP.

nobody expects much from most of those games but we have 3 points already from them. wild has got work to do to get the players where he wants them. losing these games and then going on a good run could be worth it. at least we all feel there is a future now.

Hornchurch haven't picked up a point away from home since August. They are poor travellers and a trip up the frozen North-East won't suit them.

If Pools play to the same level they did at FGR we should beat them.

They're are coming to play a team who have lost 11 out of their last 13 competitive matches, wouldn't think they'll have too much trouble putting us to the sword.

Oh I don’t know …l think Pools will give them their usual generous hospitality and their poor away game record will take a turn for the better.
