I am pretty sure Landon is a sensible guy and will allow Clark some leeway but the problem is the more the losses mount up, the more the play offs vanish into the distance.
If I was in Landon's position now the first question I would ask myself is, can I trust the current regime of recruitment with any more of my money or am I in danger of throwing good money after bad.
The problems we now face started to emanate months ago when decisions were made on who we could rely on. I think those decisions have progressively got worse in my opinion
There were three glaring areas that needed careful scrutiny.
Who was going to be the club figurehead to compensate Landon's inexperience. My choice was Russ green. Landon's choice was Bromby.
The manager. My choice, a person with knowledge and experience of this league. Bromby's/Landon's choice, Clark.
Composition of the squad. My choice. Best possible engine room, i.e. Midfield. Known goalscorers. Recruitment's choice. Known goalscorers. No significant strengthening of midfield.
Most people on here agree as it is or was glaringly obvious, especially the midfield.
Which is why I would need a lot of convincing to give the recruitment team another shot at it.
The best piece of recruitment was loaning the Goalie. I suggest we take the same path and loan some decent midfielders, at least two. Someone in the Dan Kemp mould would be a good start.
