diane abbotts facebook and X pages.

I didn’t know Abbot had a FB page, if you failed to notice X is owned by a very far right person.

anybody right of centre in now far right by the left. do the far left exist in this country. possibly very few in the same way as the far right do not exist in massive numbers. if you compare the atlee and blair governments you could call the 1945 elected one far left if blair was the labour norm. i,d say reform is closer to thatcher than the tories who supported johnson.

We might have had far left individual politicians and trade union leaders but have we ever had a far left government ?

i have said that. you just get one further to the left or tight than others have been. we needed change in 1945 so we got a much more left wing labour government than we had in the future. in 2029 we equally need change and need a more right wing party in power closer to thatcher than the present tories really are. problem that this country has had is 30 years of middle of the road government with a penny one way and a penny the other differance.

Thatcher, like her or not, was she the last PM who really tried to do the best for the country rather than her party or her own benefit?

Are you on a wind up PTID, what did she do for the benefit of the U.K., did you actually live through the Thatcher era. She sold our oil and gas off, sold the railways, sold the water, sold the electricity, sold council houses off not allowing the money from the sales to replace them.
Margaret Thatcher’s policies caused deep social and economic damage to the UK, rapid deindustrialization that devastated working-class communities, a massive surge in inequality and poverty.
In the end her own party realised she was becoming a liability and got rid of her.
Have a look around any of the mining communities or where there were big industrial bases and see the deprivation that Thatcher caused.
I await your list of benefits that made a difference to your life during the Thatcher government, don’t bring Labour into it, just the 11 years plus she was in power.

As I recall she stabilised an economy that was on its knees and dubbed "the sick man of Europe", she curbed the unions which had just taken us through the "winter of discontent", she gave more people the right to own their homes, she defended the Falklands, she won a record 3 GEs so the country as a whole must have seen some good in her.
Yes she was polarising, but she wasn't always putting party or herself first which was the point I was making.

Margaret Thatcher: Won three general elections (1979, 1983, and 1987), but she did not win them all back-to-back as the head of a continuous uninterrupted government string in the same manner, or rather she won 3 total, but Tony Blair is recognized for the specific 3-in-a-row consecutive sequence record as a continuous prime ministerial winning streak

Margaret Thatcher did stabilize parts of the British economy and curb runaway inflation, but her radical free-market reforms caused massive unemployment, destroyed much of the industrial base and sharply increased income inequality.

Gave people the right own houses, no she gave them away and didn’t replace them, now there is no affordable rental properties for the people who can’t get on the housing ladder.

Railways and steelworks taken back into government ownership after being paid millions in subsidies, water companies who were sold off with no debts now millions in debt but still paying dividends to the shareholders. Getting screwed by foreign owned utilities companies, yeh privatisation was a great idea, what benefits did that achieve, cut a bit of tax initially more so for the well off.

My thoughts are Snowy did Thatcher bring any long term benefits to the U.K., in hindsight no.

A die hard Labour supporter will never recognise any good in any Tory politicians, that is why my original point in bringing up Thatcher was her genuinely putting country first rather than party or self. She may have got some policies wrong but she was acting in what she thought were the national interests imo. I don't think we've had a PM since who was as genuinely putting country before party or themselves.

It doesn’t.
But every Party has these people.

you have forgot the policy that brought her down, the Poll Tax. a good idea but the ability to pay was never taken into account. her popularity i,d guess was greater down south than it was in places like castleford anf horden. she did stabalise the country nobody can argue but it was at a cost. at least there were british winners back then unlike today where it feels we are all losers, and thats after we will be all controlled.

Yusef said in a speech where he said he will jail the Chief Executives of Vodafone for handing out free SIM cards to refugees in Calais, he really has lost the plot.

Socialist yes, Reform phobic yes as the gullible get taken in by his constant rhetoric of immigration and boat crossings have caused all the UKs economic problems. Reform have yet to come up with credible policies on how they will fix the U.K. economy.
Obsessed by finance, not obsessed, interested, i only ever leave a minimal amount in a building society or bank account due to their paltry interest rates. Is it a crime as a socialist I not am allowed to invest elsewhere as advised by an IFA ?
What interests do you have Snowy apart from constantly being on The Bunker all day, from very early morning till late ?
Just because you have no interest in financials don’t go slagging
people off who do, you have a very bad habit of doing that, live and let live Snowy.

Oh the irony of a ‘socialist’ defending investment and the financial markets….comedy gold

I don’t need to but every time I glance at Bunker Snowy is online.

How dumb are you…I’m online all day, but not there in the vicinity of my device which I generally use for pricing hardware…I don’t keep logging in and out every time to save a few miserable coppers Jeeez

keep hearing from them how the governments priority is to safeguard our women and kids. then the next minute they are happy to import as many as possible who would take delight in doing their worst. even those who spend there time helping them seem to have a majority of the ones who would be in danger.. bloody odd world that i do not get.

they,ll be more bothered about that news getting out rather than the old man himself. Just imagine the headlines in the msm if it was the boot on the other foot. Far Right Fascist Mob Attacks a vulnerable muslim OAP off to the mosque for prayers.

To do what, they just ruined their chances after the announcement about PIP and Disability Benefits, 1 in 5 of the electorate in Clacton are on P.I.P., I doubt Farage would win his seat there again.

you just do not get it do you. even the genuine ones receiving these benefits know they will not lose them and are the ones who hate the scroungers more than anybody. remember the words of my stepson who reported anybody who he thought was on the fiddle, there will be more in the pot for the genuine ones like me.

Maybe you need to read kpg's post again, and ask yourself why the government are refusing a request by the FOI for figures on serious offences like rape and murder committed by migrants..

really they might as well give them before somebody give inflated numbers that could cause even more problems. they did it in london with the offences there where the majority of offences were committed by minorities. people are not stupid as they can add 2 and 2 up anf get the right answer.

The vast majority of these boat arrivals are young healthy males, escaping tyranny and war torn France.
They're coming here without paperwork to prove who they are, and from cultures which have a vastly different idea of what is respectable and allowable wrt how children and women should be respected.
Yet we meet and greet them then allow them to freely walk the streets - madness.

I wonder who Jamie thinks would win Clacton if another by election was called? Given that Count Binface got more votes at this re ent election than Labour on r Conservatives at the GE my money would still be in Farage.
The PIP proposals would not be an issue for those in genuine need of help but would certainly root out a lot of the free loaders. Every party and even charities like Age UK thinks that PIP isn't fit for purpose and needs radical overhaul. Labour can't do it as the backbenchers won't allow any dilution if Benefits Britain and typically of Labour Governments don't recognise how to generate money (other than raising taxes), preferring to spend other people's money till there's none left, National Debt up in the last 2 years.

its more madness when they are welcomed with open arms by groups who also help them to come here in the first place. ok you do not expect anyone to have a brief case of paperwork coming here but at least something and the phone in there pockets not at the bottom of the channel if they have something in there favour. you do not need to be a mastermind to realise they have more to hide by their actions and you can see those vetting them believing all the crap they will say.

We might find out in the next few months if there is going to be an election in Clacton.
PIP, how they going to change how people qualify for P.I.P. it and who is going to reassess the current 4 million on P.I.P. some one with no medical qualifications sat behind a desk in a Job Centre, how long would that take ? Or would you stop all P.I.P. payments for the 4 million in receipt of it then they have to reapply, it would take years with face to face interviews.

Nobody has put a timescale on it Jamie, but it needs to be done.
We can't continue to spend billions on shirkers who've filled in an online form to be handed free money.
As I've already said even Starmer recognised PIP as being unfit for purpose but his proposals had to be substantially diluted to gain approval from his backbenchers.
They won't be able to abolish PIP without passing legislation and any proposals would be scrutinised and amended until a majority of MPs agree with it.
Face to face assessments could quite easily be done by GPs, Drs, and other health and social care workers couldn't they?
Why sensationalise, over-complicate, or simply dismiss out of hand every idea Reform have? Try to remember the reasons why Reform are popular - the other party's are unpopular and Reform "read the room" of public opinion ((the others read political, history, or economics theory and live on an entirely different planet.

Probably only when it happens to their family members.

Get Reform in ASAP.

To do what, they just ruined their chances after the announcement about PIP and Disability Benefits, 1 in 5 of the electorate in Clacton are on P.I.P., I doubt Farage would win his seat there again.

Read the details before waving your big flag.

It's just been revealed on Gb news that the OAP was a man and had to endure a 20 minutes rape.

There's a time bomb ticking for sure.

Enough is Enough.

Check all viewpoints, not just the ones who think like you…a man with half the facts is more dangerous than a man with ALL the facts, wether you like them or nor.

Be realistic PTID, face to face could be done by GPs etc, bloody hell have you ever tried to get an appointment at a GP Surgery, so a health and social care worker is qualified to decide wether some one is entitled to benefits. Guess what would happen the whole system would be clogged up with appeal after appeal.
You obviously don’t keep up with news, Reform have dropped down to 3rd in the polls, whose fault, your mate Nigel, they are grasping at straws now putting a smokescreen up to distract from all his alleged dodgy dealings.
News conference today, Reform announced an apprenticeship scheme giving money to companies, one thing I did agree with how it was going to be funded by scrapping low value degrees. TBH it was rinse and repeat, kids don’t want to work outdoors when they have been pampered in centrally heated homes. I had a garage built a few years back, the builder a one man band and had an apprentice, he didn't last 5 minutes, he didn’t like the outdoor stuff.

Feck me, I'm sure you'll find it almost impossible to get a GP appointment here in the UK when you live in Thailand. GP and hospital records can easily be reviewer to weed out the genuine needy, the free-loaders, and the uncertain cases. The face to face appointments having already occurred and AI could be used to review the present medical notes. Health workers and Social workers could easily be used for extra screening, every case wouldn't need to start from scratch.
Yesterday's YouGov Poll showed voting intentions to be 24%, Reform, 22% Labour, and 21% Conservative although I'm sure you've found a poll that says different.
You're whole approach to how the UK should work seems to be nothing that's broken can be fixed so don't even try, just keep watching the country and our standard of living go down the pan. You seem quite happy that nothings done about illegal arrivals, record high taxes, increasing pensioner poverty, record businesses going bust, record high energy prices, ever increasing state control, corrupt politicians (as long as they're Labour)., etc etc
Well maybe you need to keep up with the news - the people who live here are getting Fecking sick of it. We know it, Burnham knows it and his time is fast running out, his popularity is already in the slide in just a month.

I'm sure life is much different from planet earth on Jamie's Red Planet.

Have you seen any of the CVs of the arrivals PTID, some of them might be professionals others not, most can’t apply from asylum in their home country.
What does annoy me is U.K. governments have given the French governments over a billion pounds, they must be using it to buy boats for them.
Going back to Farage, he mentioned El Salvador, Reform haven’t had any consultation with them, again the gullible will be taken in, I await a press conference from Reform where they are going to tell us how they are going to sort the U.K. economy out, the last 2 didn’t mention that.

The new Home Office pamphlets for .migrants,Jamie you must be shocked at the content?.

Why should I be shocked or bothered, of course your looking for a bite, do you want me to support or criticise The Home Office, up to them, I don’t work for the government PTID.

Judging by PTID facts I think the Beano will be above his levels of intelligence, for info Reform have now moved back up to 2nd, 1% behind Labour.

Snowy you really need to keep up with the news instead of being brainwashed by Farage//Reform albeit you will definitely criticise where I obtained the video from but a similar ones are in many of right wing MSM newspapers. I doubt they will show it on your favourite news channel GB News though.
