Everything is Trump, Truss, or Farage's fault even though none of them are in UK government.

As for Trump, you need to keep up with the news KPG, whats he done, dug a hole for himself over the Iran conflict and can’t find a way out of it, the Iranians now and will forever control the Hormuz Trait

Iran is run by religious fanatics who will eventually collapse and sanity return to a country wiith great prospects…these Looney Tunes in charge now will not control it forever, that’s just pure undiluted bollox.
Next time you put petrol …blah blah blah….
Funky how you use a phrase that every Labour MP uses when asked about the subject.
Are your Party subs up to date ……?

You forget the U.K. doesn’t own any of the oil and gas in the North Sea, Thatcher sold it off, any oil and gas extracted from the North Sea is sold on the world market.

Our energy bills 4 x higher than the USA.
Ya can't put that on Iran conflict

then it always has been. since the conflict petrol has gone up by 30p a litre or in my world £.1.35 a gallon. remember when it went up by 6p once and the natives were very restless. i,d guess a;so our energy prices are higher than in most euro countries as well.

Correct, even though Millibands wind turbines and solar farms are supposedly producing cheap sustainable home grown secure power supplies.

In a wartime scenario, how long would windturbines and solar panels survive.

They’d be safe in alarm La La Land…but nowhere else.

Atomic weapons in the hands of loons are the exception…those who want to survive would be using using them is pointless because thay want your land, not your radioactive waste.
So in a non nuclear war like Ukraine, atomic weapons are pointless, there’ll always be someone fighting on the ground, which our useless main Party’s have ignored.

As for wind turbines…the cannot be recycled…they get buried.

American has its own gas, we have to import ours at global market price which Trumps Iranian conflict has caused a price rise.

It doesn't matter where the oil and gas is sold or who owns it, the industry creates thousands of jobs and raises billions in tax for the government. Also the UK environmental regulations for the sector are probably the strictest in the world so it's greener for us to produce it rather than other countries and then the added carbon footprint of shipping.
Norway is ahead of the UK in green energy and policy yet they're re-opening old oil and gas fields and drilling new ones - why is it good for them but not for us?
I'm pretty sure we could have small navy and border patrol boats just outside French and Belgian territorial waters returning the dinghies back to the nearest safe haven in France and Belgium in accordance with Maritime and International law.
Big EU meeting today to discuss border control because more and more member countries are waking up to the fact that they're being invaded. Germany looking at Rwanda, Italy already has Albania although numbers being processed are very low. Shenghen rules suspended by many with Spain due to their liberal PM welcoming them with open arms.

Educate me PTID, how will U.K. Naval boats/ships whatever be allowed to sail into another countries territorial waters with a load of people who don’t belong to that country PTID ? Currently when the coastguard meet the boats why don’t they take them back to wherever they came from ?Big EU meeting, you forget the U.K. is no longer in the EU.

Because you can take them to the nearest safe haven which would be the port they left from, simples. Currently Border Force pick them up closer to UK shores and therefore bring them here.
In practice we could sail Border Force boats within French waters and turn them back before they reach international waters, well within maritime and international laws.
Btw, they don't immediately become "in peril" the moment they've reached our waters, they get here in pretty much the same state as when the French wave them off. So why are the French not rescuing them in their overloaded craft?

You really need to keep up with the news PTID, President Donald Trump's military conflict with Iran and aggressive tariff policies have driven major economic problems, notably soaring energy prices, surging inflation, and slower economic growth.

Truss, Financial Market Turmoil,
The British Pound: Dropped sharply, hitting a record low against the US dollar.Government
Borrowing Costs: Spiked dramatically as investors sold off UK government bonds (gilts), fearing the country could not pay back its debt.
Pension Funds: Were pushed to the edge of collapse, forcing the Bank of England to launch an emergency intervention to stabilize the market.

Nigel Farage damaged the UK economy primarily by spearheading the successful campaign for Brexit, which economic analysts and data link to lower national income, reduced business investment, and costly trade barriers with Europe.

We've got abundant supplies if gas offshore (Jackdaw almost ready to go) and under our feet which could easily be extracted. Doing so under national control would give us cheaper and more secure supplies, in the same way as Norway and the US do it.
Why are our energy costs higher than the rest of Europe, many of those countries being 100% dependent on global markets supplies? Feck all to do with Iran.

We don’t own the gas under our feet get that into your brain and nationalising it would cost billions. Here is AI s answer. Why the U.K. pays more,
UK energy costs are higher than much of Europe due to heavy reliance on expensive natural gas to set wholesale electricity prices, funding green levies and grid upgrades directly through consumer bills rather than general taxation, and lower domestic gas storage capacity

I treating how all of the ills of the economy can be traced back to everyone excepting Labour eh? Truss, Trump, Farage, Thatcher, etc etc
Labour left the infamous note "there is no money" at the Treasury after 14 years in power during which time they saw off much of the old traditional industries including the closure of the last deep mines, clothing, etc etc. They also sold off the gold reserves at a price well below market value, they plundered our pension funds by taxing dividends growth within pension funds, they killed off vocational training with their aspirations to have over 50% of school leavers going to Uni.
This government downplayed the economy from day 1 meaning nobody wanted to invest and now they're taxing us literally to death and stifling businesses with their NI and NMW rises adding to the problems.
Stop harming back to your selective history and consider this, what are the government actually doing that will improve our lives and the future of the country and our kids?

BP has announced record profits of over £4 billion for the last quarter, why is that, because the price of oil has risen, what caused that, Trumps Iranian conflict. Who is going to benefit, the shareholders as the dividend has been increased, why isn’t some of that profit not being delivered to the petrol pump reducing the cost of fuel ?

Approximately 6% to 8.7% of land in the UK is physically built on or developed for urban use, while about 84.7% of the human population lives in designated urban and suburban areas

if that conflict stops today prices will never go back to the same level as when it started. you only needed to see how garages reacted back then by putting prices up 30p a litre with the fuel purchased pre conflict. thats before the shareholders get there big whack.

Had to have a giggle, Reform put out a leaflet showing a ‘British’ warship saying the navy should be stopping the boats in the channel, the warship illustrated was HMS Ocean which was sold to Brazil in 2018, come on Nigel get your act together.

A ship is allowed to enter territorial waters at any time, if they weren't nothing would move. I could sail across to France from here in my yacht, if I had on, whenever I wanted. You might not be aware that the RN is almost constantly monitoring Russian ships in our territorial waters. There presence isn't against any laws and not would Border For e boats be on the edge or even inside French waters.

Your selective history simply illustrated the state of our broken political system.
History tells us the Conservatives are far better than Labour at managing and growing the economy, Labour are good at spending other people's money and stifling business. "And ne'er the twain shall meet".
The economy largely recovered very quickly once Truss's mini budget measures were reversed.
The mess that is Brexit is as much down to the blockers who were hoping to stop it rather than getting behind it and negotiating the best deal rather than the diluted fudge we got.
Thatchers austerity measures might have been over the top but we're required to a degree.
Brown plundered more and did more damage to Pensions than any Chancellor in history, although Reeve's bringing Pensions into Inheritance Tax calculations has also had a massive damaging impact.

Let's just be honest, there are too many people in the world and more and more of the world is becoming uninhabitable due to climate change.

Only real answer is to reduce the population, starting with those who do not contribute to the economy. That way the ones that are able to contribute to the economy can have the jobs and feed the capitalist ideal.

I keep hearing about defence spending and wonder what we are spending it for. Who in their right mind would want to invade a small island off the coast of Europe except the USA and they are supposedly our allies.

Ex prime ministers get £115000 a year pension for the rest of their lives.

All selfish scumbags the lot of them.

Immos cost 41k a year.
40k if they go to prison

And oaps are now Gunna pay tax to subsidise these free loading trash.

What an absolute fucked up country we now live in totally run by the non English.

Time to go part time work to stop paying tax for them.

Already qualified for me 40 odd years ni contributions for the SP.

The governments can fuck right off no more tax of KPG.

UTP.

Wealth inequality is the biggest problem and the gap is growing, globally the top 10% of people own about three-quarters of all wealth, while the bottom 50% hold only a tiny fraction. This gap is usually much wider than income inequality alone.

High returns on capital:
Wealth grows faster through investments and assets than through regular wages.Inheritance, the wealthy have so much money they just buy more assets.

Generational wealth passes down and compounds over time for specific families.
Policy and taxes: Tax breaks for corporations and low capital gains taxes favor asset holders.Wage stagnation:

Low and middle-income wages often fail to keep up with the rising cost of living.

Gary Stevenson has done loads of articles on wealth inequality and says we should be introducing a wealth tax but I find them over complicated to take in.

You talk as though it’s something new.
It has always been like this, but the people who take the chances and create jobs obviously want their reward, this petty levelling out of income is called communism…but even the top dogs in those countries are comfortably off and producing fuck all but misery to political dogma.
You’re dreaming if you think everyone will be the same..,read ‘Animal Farm’…it explains it so easily how no matter what society you live in ther’ll always be the system of elites…from financiers to country’s who have only one candidate to vote for and shoot opponents.

I don't forget that we're out of the EU at all, and unlike you I'm still pleased we are. I was highlighting the fact that the "everyone's welcome" attitude of the EU is fracturing as unwanted and uncontrolled immigration is becoming more and more a problem across the entire continent of Europe.
Every maritime vessel is duty bound to attend and aid any other vessel in distress anywhere in the world, so these overloaded boats should be aided and returned to French ports before they even leave their territorial waters. French police and border forces are actually in breach of maritime law in letting them leave.

Wealth taxes disincentivise and that's fact, didn't Labour have tax rates of 90 odd percent a few decades back. It just means the wealthy move or continue to use tax evasion and/or tax avoidance loopholes. Alternatively they up sticks and leave. Look at what the "windfall taxes" which are essentially wealth taxes have done to UK companies in the North Sea.
Starmer, the self proclaimed working class ex PM has a specific law which means his vast pension pot will never be taxed although he quite happily ensured we'll all be taxed on our state pensions soon.
Get big business and the wealthy to pay what's due already and you don't need a wealth tax.

just like we have to do. most of these people are not doing anything illegal by avoiding tax. there has been loopholes they can use that have been around for years. people ask why do they not close them. well would you if you might be using them and your mates do.

If French holidaying people were going out in one of those over inflated suicide condoms, a couple of miles off shore, what’s the betting they’d be clamped down on straight away and hauled back into port.

Can you make a list of benefits since the U.K. left the EU PTID, how has it benefited you as an individual ?ask the holiday makers travelling in Europe about the process they have to go through now with immigration rules, biometric fingerprints, photos etc.
UK farmers, fishermen, and small business owners report that they have not benefited from leaving the EU. Instead, they face severe challenges, including heavy border red tape, loss of traditional subsidies, worker shortages, and a steep drop in profitable exports to European markets
Economic studies and official data show that leaving the European Union has made the UK economy smaller, reducing GDP by an estimated 4% to 8% over time. While Brexit fulfilled the political goal of national sovereignty and ended EU freedom of movement, it created trade barriers and lowered business investment.

There are 150 billionaires 440000 millionaires in the U.K., I doubt if one or two left it would make any difference.
Taxes in the North Sea, it’s the only benefit the U.K. can get from the North Sea as its output is sold on the global markets. Even after taxes made a profit of £4.2 billion after tax and that’s only for 4 month.
Get big business to pay a wealth tax, who like North Sea oil and gas companies, get the wealthy to pay, tax, they run rings round HMRC.
One thing you nearly got right PTID, the regulations for his DPP pension was introduced by the Tories, his PM pension will still be subject to tax.

The DPP Pension ExemptionSpecial Law:
When he stepped down as DPP in 2013, the government of the day put in place the Pensions Increase (Pension Scheme for Keir Starmer QC) Regulations 2013.Tax Relief:

This "tax-unregistered" scheme meant that standard lifetime allowance caps on pension savings did not apply to the contributions accrued during his tenure as DPP, protecting those specific funds from extra tax charges over £1 million.Income Tax:

While the size of the pot and contributions avoided certain allowances and caps, any actual income drawn from it remains subject to regular income tax rates

We were never allowed to reap the full benefits that would have come from Brexit had it been negotiated with any real will to gain them, too many snouts in the troughs to want to give it all up.
I'm not listing anything because it's been done to death in here already with myself and others providing lists and you continually ignoring them and a while later asking for lists again.
Despite it all I'm pleased we're well out of it, I'd be happy enough to rejoin a Customs Union or have closer trading ties but I don't want to be a citizen of the United(???) States of Europe.
This Labour government is harming the economy and lowering business investment yet you're a supporter of them?

The tax revenue from more oil and gas production in the North Sea could be huge regardless of where the oil and gas gets sold, tax is not the only benefit of producing more from the North Sea - North Sea environmental regulations make it among the greenest anywhere in the world, and there's also thousands and thousands of jobs to be created and retained. This refusal to extract local most environmentally clean resources is an act of massive self harm to the country.
Starmers special pension rules are an insult to ordinary pensioners.

I am meaning the wealthy who through inheritance are wealthy, I am sure they outnumber the self made millionaires who made their money by setting businesses up. I class the fella who owns Wetherspoons as a self made millionaire creating 1000s of jobs but the likes of Lineker he made his money from TV, how many jobs did he create ?
The wealth gap was 5% now it’s 25% and increasing year on year, I don’t dream we should all be the same, our income won’t allow it. In general the only wealth the majority and that s the older ones is the property they live in.

Of course I wouldn’t, we would have if Thatcher hadn’t sold it, you never heard of Norways Sovereign Wealth Fund, they kept hold of some of the assets,

The Norway sovereign wealth fund, formally known as the Government Pension Fund Global, has a current market value of approximately $2.2 trillion USD (or roughly 21,879 billion Norwegian kroner). It is managed by Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) and is officially the world's largest sovereign wealth fund.

Key Figures and FactsPer Capita Wealth: The fund's massive size translates to roughly $390,000 USD for every single one of Norway’s 5.5 million citizens.

And every government, not just Thatchers has squandered the revenue that has been received since day one, including Labour.
Interesting you mention Norway who are commissioning mothballed oil and gas fields and drilling lots more even though they'ee already way ahead of us in renewables eh?

Nowt wrong with leaving your money that you've earned and paid tax on to your chosen benefactors, far better than the state grabbing a chunk and handing it to people who've never contributed in any way to our country. This idea of Labour's that they can be modern day Robin Hoods robbing from pensioners on £1100 per month to hand out to scroungers is obscene.

Back in the days when Mr Eyebrows was in that cabinet in Blair’s time, he held minor roles nowhere even near the possibility of getting near the top job……so what does it say amongst the back bench drones and their ability when they had to fetch Burnham in from the wilderness through the cat flag.
