Also young Joe Aungiers, who was offered a contract by Pools at the end of last season, has signed a dual registration with Billingham Town and Pools. On as the Town have it, a duel registration. Pistols at dawn for Lee Clark? I'd pay money to watch that.

What happened to that young striker Alfie Steel who scored a lot of goals for the Academy a few years ago, was on loan at West Auckland last season, has he been released?

Had to look it up but he has signed for Shildon for next season. He joined West Auckland on a permanent at the beginning of last season.

not sure if he is just one for the future. a decent amount of games behind him in mens football should be seeing him busting a gut to get into the starting squad even if its just a sub. bound to be better than the last player we got from blackpool. that loanees trusty.

Very decent transfer business on the face of it. Let's hope they can gel. Excited to see the mid-season recruitment this time too, where normally we would stack the squad out with bit-part youngsters.

Few injuries, decent contention at top end.. be good to see us get a real difference maker in when it matters to carry us through. Ala Armstrong in Chally promo season.
