Tamworth today signed Tom Parkes I am sure we all wish him well apart from when we play them. Thank you Tom for all your efforts with us a True Poolie .

Parksey accepted that he was being released and walked
away with dignity. Unlike Featherstone, who spat his dummy
out and blamed everyone but himself for his demise.
Good example of a warrior versus a wanker.

I wouldn't have been too unhappy if Parkes had been given another season, would have been decent cover imo.
Don't think he's particularly injury prone, just very unlucky with a couple of concussion type injuries which are a rarity to be fair, but the protocols determine how long he had to sit them out.
Good luck to him, Tamworth could be a bit of a dark horse, they had a decent end to the season and have just been bought out by an American owner with ambition.

not knocking LS or the tamworth owner but the words american owner and ambition always seem to go hand in hand as if only them have money and ambition and a magic bullett for success.

i,d have kept him as well but thought he might have actually retired from the game due to those head injuries he never seemed to get over.
