Has signed a 1 year contract extension with Hull City.

Doesn't stop Pools from exploring a loan deal again, but I imagine the priority will be to sign a 'proper' keeper on a permanent contract.

much prefer him coming back if its only till january than signing someone like hayes, killip and the rest who wore a pools keepers shirt over the last 10 years.

Hayes joined Aldershot so still believers in him.

Amazing that Killip has played 25 League 1 games and 6 Championship games since leaving us and people still think he is not worthy of playing for us.

He was a good shot stopper and a nice lad by all accounts but would not come off his line, hated collecting or punching the ball under pressure, if he had been good at that we might have won that semi v Rotherham as he was rooted to his goal line for both goals, we were the better side that night but Michael Smith got two easy conversions due to it..... I'm not bitter :liar:

Killip has played 29 league games since he left us so less than 10 a season, hardly suggests he's anything but a bench warmer. DC didn't bring him back into the play off winning side preferring to play Brad James and he wasn't a bad judge.

In football, you never get ‘criticised’ for nothing…it’s how he performed here that counts.

Definitely have Cartwright or Evans back on a season long loan of available. Not fussed if we have a loaner or our own as long as they're decent. Rochdale did ok with a kid on loan between the sticks.

Cartwright is the best keeper I have seen playing for Pools for many years. Excellent solid keeper.

Yeah Cartwright was very very good, Evans wasn't too far behind him though and the kid we had from Leicester was very good too Stolarczyk (was 1st choice for Leicester last season).

Not that Amazing- you can easily hide an average keeper for a half a dozen games or so a season.

Aaron Lee Barrett played in the Championship for Ipswich after leaving Pools, and he was absolute gash!

I'm still haunted to this day by the.ball he threw in over his shoulder in a 1-1 draw away at Northampton - and that's got be about 15 years ago - when he was No.2 to the equally inept Jan Budtz, that's how shit he was!
