Leaving the ECHR won’t solve the problem, its identifying them then trying to deport them, unfortunately it’s not going to happen, take years to go through the courts.

We won't be bowing to anybody in Europe with a .man like Nigel Farage in charge,Jamie..if he dissaproves of anything they say then they'll be facing the cheeks of his backside, and you know it!

Wishful thinking, I will put my life savings he will not be the next PM, he will be gone before then, the electorate are now looking at how the current bunch of Reform councillors are performing, broken promises no different from any other politicians.

Jamie, if energy prices are determined by global markets then the reasons for the UK having the highest prices in the world must be down to profits taken by suppliers throughout the supply chain, fuel duty and taxes.
We've had the argument about cutting VAT already and you finally agreed there wouldn't be a shortfall if it was cut, there'd be a reduced windfall. But the government need every penny they can fleece from us in their drive to increase welfare which is up nearly £20bn in the 2vyears they've been in power. Economics isn't really your forte is it?

People have this misconception all the U.K. has to do is connect all the pipelines from the North Sea installations and bring it onshore forgetting that the oil and gas companies are privately owned and have to abide by the world market prices. It goes back to the Thatcher days when she sold off the ‘family silver’ unfortunately the younger generation have no memory of this and blame consecutive governments for rising prices in their utility bills forgetting the prices are controlled by foreign owned utility companies.

I agree the welfare bill has to be cut, but how more so in work benefits, around 24.3 million people (costing £110 billion) in Great Britain claim some combination of Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) benefits. Is it because employers are not paying a living wage, many tailor their hours so they can claim in work benefits but others might be single parents and have kids and have no choice as they have kids too look after. Some can’t sign on for unemployment benefits so take a job with minimum numbers of hours and still receive inwork benefits and the DWP think great another one off the register.

How do you know that people of the UK have any misconceptions about oil and gas? Norway who do very well out of oil and gas are opening up older oil and gas fields which were shutdown years ago, and opening up new fields too. I wonder why that country which is one of the wealthiest in Europe is allowing this? Not all of their Oil and Gas is nationalised with private companies operating on the sector.
Wonder if it's anything to do with maintaining their sovereign wealth fund, or bringing in taxes, or creating jobs, or even securing their own gas supplies? The misconception is that it's all about security of supply when it's actually all about wider economics and believe it or not, they're doing it whilst still being leaders in green energy too.
What exactly is the benefit to the UK in driving the likes of BP out of the North Sea?
Benefits are going up as a result of Labour policies over the last 2 years, even Pat McFadden has made it clear that the Cabinet in general are constantly looking at raising more and more taxes to increase benefits. The question they should be asking us how do we reduce benefits in order to reduce taxes and promote economic growth. Pretty basic stuff I'd say. Lifting the 2 Child Benefit Cap was unaffordable so why do it when you can't afford it, the changes to NMW whilst idealistically are great but in actuality they've raised unemployment, the changes to inheritance tax for Businesses and Farmers is disincentivising and stunting growth or seeing businesses leave the UK and farms being sold off, it's also stopping many savings for retirement. This government have been in power for 2 years and they can't just keep blaming the Tory's they own the problems they've created.
And for balance, Thatcher started the privatisation but Blair continued it selling off the likes of NATS and I producing the PFI for schools and hospitals which actually created the "weak concrete" problems in those buildings as they were built on the cheap for profit.

You say black, Jamie will say white….he’s just contrary Mary.
He’s on here as a Party hack droning out a constant message….the person ‘Jamie’ is just a committee who take turns to play the role of ‘Jamie’….which sometimes goes off course in his messages.
He’s not here to actually debate, because he concedes nothing and is not interested in compromise because it’s all humourless dogma and silence when the awkward questions can’t be answered.

Ok we will just blame everything on Labour after 2 years in power, everyone on benefits is a millionaire since Labour came to power nothing to do with 14 years of Tory rule, did they try and curb benefits ?
Having listened to some politicians most have no idea about the North Sea including the one Reform person who is going to stand as London Mayor.
She was on about opening up the North Sea again like tomorrow not realising it takes years to design and develop new fields. At one time on Teesside we had 4/5 oil and gas companies building modules for the North Sea now we have none only one demolishing installations which were removed by a Dutch owned vessel build in South Korea. 90% of oil and gas has been removed from the North Sea leaving only fields very difficult and expensive to develop which major oil aren’t interested in as they can go to third world companies for new developments.
Yes PFI was a big mistake but it hasn’t caused the destruction of the engineering and manufacturing sector in the U.K. nor is it to blame for rising energy costs.

Reform are not the problem, they have no power, Labour has fecked up big style with their economic benefit led policies and backing of Mad Eds green mission. They've made changes in 2 years which have caused massive and long lasting damage to our economy, our culture, and the future of our kids and country. We're heading towards 1m kids leaving school and going straight in to benefits because they're too expensive to employ - we've now got the highest youth unemployment in Europe, a big well done on that eh?
The worst of it is that they, and their supporters of which you're obviously one, won't or don't want to see it.
Tony Blair and his drive to get kids to go to university caused a huge amount of damage to the construction and manufacturing industries with increased need for migrants workers.
Reform have passed zero legislation, it's the big 2 partys that are taking the country down the pan, and presently it's Labour in the driving seat and 100% they're responsible.
At least Reform are talking about what the vast majority of the country wants and that's a prosperous country with secure borders and a government that protects our heritage and culture. Immigration needs to be controlled responsibly with a focus on true integration not the colonisation that's presently happening, and that should be centred around the old adage of "when in Rome" not changing our laws and culture to mimick the colonists.

all that is totally true and i,d say the majority of the country would agree with you unless you were part of some minority who get treatment as if they were the majority. at different times in history many countries needed immegrants but once the adequate number cam over they pulled up the drawbridge apart from the odd person needed. its hard to imagine that somewhere down the line this and the last tory government had some agenda we do not know yet. if you follow the line you wrote you then will be accused of being one of the far right instead of just being right.

How are they going to secure the borders, have the Royal Navy patrol the channel abandon people in distress, that’s not how the international laws of the sea operate.you are naive if you trust a load of millionaires and billionaires and ex Tory party members, a leopard never changes its spots. When did people like that think about the man in the street, never, your so so naive like many taken in by Farage, like most politicians only saying what you want to hear but very unlikely they will ever form a government.

They're not in distress though are they? Given that I spent my entire working life in Maritime employment I've probably got way more understanding of Maritime law than You - watching selective YouTube clips makes you an expert on feck all btw. If they were in distress the French would be obliged to rescue them.
Their isn't a GE coming up as far as I know so at this moment in time I haven't made my mind up who I'd vote for unlike you who is obviously indoctrinated into the "vote Labour at every opportunity club". When the next election comes up be it Local or General I'll consider all candidates and party's before making my mind up.
If they arrive illegally and are impounded immediately they'll stop coming won't they?

Impounded where, that’s been tried before but where, you forgot about The Bibby Stockholm deemed ok to house workers in the Orkney Islands, all the NIMBYs have blocked the proposed sites. I would put them in the areas that voted Reform, it’s what they wished for is it not, they could act as security.

Well in 3 years time there will be 2 party's in the running to get into Parliament.

REFORM and the newly formed Boatsbour anti English regime who promotes a free life for immigrants and the death of the English an n rapes of women has a 20 years investigation before going to court obviously not on bail as well.

I wonder who’s on shift today….?

You can’t beat a good debate Snowy, btw I hope you are keeping up with your Reform subs or have moved over to Restore ?

You really can’t work it out can you, but then you never could when it comes to politics.

Since Meloni took office in Italy their illegal arrivals have dropped by nearly half. They intercept boats and don't land them on Italian shores, they're taken to reception facilities in Albania for processing. The EU is currently looking at changing laws to allow detention for up to 24 months and also 3rd Country processing.
Germany is in advanced talks to set up offshore processing in Rwanda, a number of other countries are following suit.
So why can't we introduce emergency laws to resurrect Rwanda? Build detention centres quickly as we built emergency Nightingale hospitals during COVID?
It's all about political will and not practicalities. The glorious EU are recognising and developing plans to deal with real cultural existential issues while we drag our Liberal wet heels.

we need to seek advice from the poles to see what they would do to stop them. seem to do it fine on their land boarders and guess they,ll have something up their sleeve if the buggers arrived by sea.

You've got to wonder why it's acceptable to many to allow people to arrive here without any paperwork or proof of who they are, their reasons for wanting to be here, their background, and have the freedom to roam the streets and potentially carry out crimes.
Would these same people leave their house doors open and let anyone cross the threshold to do as they please in their own homes?
It's just fecking mad and asking for trouble.
An island nation that can't or won't stop invaders is a lost nation.

I don't see the Lefties protesting at the ease these illegals manage to get on these boats, the pictures of the French police turning a blind eye to it all are all out there..Their time would be better spent should calling for Macrons head over manslaughter charges instead of turning up at their counter protests when illegals are up in court..

Click baiting again Snowy, the comment wasn’t directed at you but you do appear to spend a few hours on The Bunker each day, yesterday was an exception, I have had my few minutes and will sign of until tomorrow.
In my Skegness there is plenty to do, I don’t need to build a tool shed though as I have a property with loads of storage with out building external sheds. I don’t need to build anything here to secure my stuff because if I leave it out it will be still there when I wake up.

Just come across this quote, A vote in Makerfield doesn’t change the government., a vote for Reform installs a plumber as an MP there and leaves Starmer and the government in power until 2029. Is Kenyon able to fix Makerfield before then?

Which is wrong, if Burnham gets in as MP then Starmer is toast. If Reform wins, then there'll still be a leadership challenge and the real in-fighting and self-destruction of this government happens.
Either way Starmer is going to be 100% occupied with keeping his place on the gravy train.

What unbridled arrogance, why can’t a plumber be an MP..?
If we adopted your view, the only person who could be an MP would be who exactly …?

Why use a quote you don’t agree with…?
Not falling for that line Jamie….do YOU agree with such a stupid quote or not…?

If I had to choose between Starmer and a blind/deaf plumber scared of water, the plumber would get the job everytime.

I think the vast majority of UK residents and tax payers would rather have a government made up of people who've lived a life in the real world over the types we currently get most of which seems to have been plucked straight out of university with a degree in history, economics, sociology, politics, ecology, etc
The university of life provides a far more appropriate degree of knowledge relatable to the majority than a lifetime lived in the education bubble.

Wishful thinking, in the old days when the U.K. was an industrial nation we had politicians who actually had a working class background, nowadays it appears mandatory that politicians have to university educated.
Correct me if I am wasn’t the local MP put forward by the local party but now they are selected by the upper echelon?

Snowy I put the comment for the other posters to discuss, it’s not a stupid comment, like Starmer or not there is no credible challenger to Starmer in the current Labour Party if Burnham doesn’t win Makerfield, again it’s Jamie, you have my name ingrained in your brain, time for a transplant.

No credible challenger to Starmer?
What a shambles eh, the worst PM in living memory according to polls, the man who was elected with a huge majority but despised by all sides within 2 years, and there's no credible alternative within the entire party.
Has Jamie finally realised what an incompetent shower of clowns we've currently got in charge?

we mght not be the industrial nation of the past but jobs exist in other sectors so future politicians can come from these newer fields of work. quicker this university preferred candidates for all jobs is scrapped the better.

I never said they were incompetent but no worse than the previous government with no fewer than 5 PMs a record, we don’t want to be going down that raid again, laughing stock of the world. Currently there isn’t another option, would Burnham be any better if elected, would he keep the same cabinet, it’s wait and see time.

The USA have their own laws regards immigration, ok we could adopt their policy of rounding people up but where are are you going to put them, the jails are already full and secure detention centres don’t get built in a day. no matter who is in charge nowts going to stop them coming to the U.K. it isn’t Starmers or one individual fault it’s been ongoing since we decided to leave the EU which you KPG were a big supporter of I believe.

So no murders we’re committed before the Labour government came to power KPG, why weren’t all the protesters at work, 20% of those arrested had previous convictions.

Have you even read the report on the Belfast attempted murder,Jamie?..Does it not ring alarm bells with you about the sort of violent illegals we are allowing to settle here.? How many more incidents do you need to read about before it sinks in ????

Nowts going to stop them coming whilst there's no political will to stop them. Australia has done a decent job of stopping them using offshore processing, Italy take them straight to Albania for processing and their illegal arrivals have nearly halved.
Rwanda would have worked if the snowflakes hadn't blocked it at every turn. Germany is presently looking at the exact same scheme. The EU is looking at passing legislation which allows them to be detained for up to 24 months so why can't we? It wouldn't take much to build emergency detention camps.
I'm sure I recall Starmer giving it the big I Am about "smashing the gangs" when all he's done in reality is hand wads if cash to Macron for zero impact.

Rwanda would never have worked, they didn’t have the accommodation to house 1000s of people, even the threat of sending them there didn’t stop them coming. These people are desperate paid £1000s to get to the U.K., they are prepared to take their chance.

The EU is looking at passing legislation which allows them to be detained for up to 24 months, yeh if we still belonged to the EU it would be a simpler task. Where would you detain them, is that only for new arrivals, what about the 1000s already in the U.K., round them up, drag them out of their current accommodation, you need to get realistic PTID, there is no quick fix.
Building detention camps, it would take months, some thing like the prefabs built after WW2 ?

https://youtu.be/W2JTSsO-nto?si=zyZdWuBMEVnLuB_2

Starmer did say he would would smash the gangs, totally unrealistic as they are based in France or further afield, a SAS type army would be needed to be set up and have permission from the said countries where some countries are quite happy to their people move on.
