yet another of those M25 clubs with more money than fans and who we will struggle against next season. if a charity shop did football grounds they,d come out with an abonination like theirs.

might be because of the part of the country they are in. one rule for darlington and another for the south east. think the rule still applies for the efl. if it does then it means some of these hobby clubs with dosh are stopping others.

1996 Stevenage were denied promotion because of their ground. Shield had to make improvement and other clubs like Scarboro Ath and I think Chester.

Ground criteria has always suffered from gray areas, Or should i say geographical areas.
No wonder the EFL wont entertain 3 up.

I believe with Darlington they were not allowed in the play offs because of being a few seats short of the required amount. The cut off was Christmas and so they were not allowed into the play offs but were not told till after they had qualified despite the required work could have been done in the close season.

Another club was Gateshead although that was another issue.

you can understand cash strapped clubs not wanting to improve there grounds if they are suitable for the number of fans they get. however some of these bankrolled clubs seem to prefer spending it all on higher wages than others just to get success. as greyhound says there are grey areas or geographic ones. watching the match yesterday it was so obvious which team they wanted to win and it was not a lancastrian one.

That looks horrible - I thought my first visit to Tamworth was bad this season.

Not been to the Heed but similar grounds I've been to Brighton's Withdean Stadium and saw Rotherham play at Don Valley after they got booted out of Millmoor- both terrible matchday experiences that have left scars!
