Darlo need Buxton to lose tomorrow at home to the NLN's bottom club to have any chance of making the play-offs.

South Shields need Ebbsfleet to slip up to avoid the play-offs themselves.

In L2, Harrogate are still in with a slim chance of pulling off their usual last-minute escape from relegation trick.

Then there's York at Rochdale... The feast of games against local rivals that looked on for next season could end up being us v Gateshead...

South Shields have to win by 2 goals at Kidderminster if Fylde draw at Merthyr who need to win for a play off chance.
Handling the expectation of pressure always comes into play on the last day of the season.

Elsewhere.
Jarrow v Gray fields FC in the Northern league div2 semi final.

Bit late I know but - we definitely won't be playing Darlo or York in the NL next season, South Shields are going to have to win the NLN play-offs and Harrogate still have a decent chance of pulling off another Great Toasted Teacake Escape next Saturday and staying in the Football League :)

So Shields v Kidderminster today 12:30 which could have a bearing on Pools recruitment.

they need a big improvement on the showing against buxton to succeed or catch kidderminster on a bad day.

Might be worth trying to get Blackett from them?

So the new boys next season will be Barrow. Harrogate, Kidderminster, Fylde, Worthing, and Hornchurch. Pity South Shields could not do it but a lot less traveling than last year with no Truro or Torquay.

New boys? Probably Barrow, Harrogate Fylde would better be described as 'old lags'

have always thought that, but how many other clubs have, looked and walked away. he might have an eye for a goal but was not impressed with the two play off games i saw him in.

Or maybe he has too good a job to go full time? He definitely has a great goalscoring record albeit at the level below us.

All the more surprising that a higher club hasn't taken a punt on him then.

it is when he has done it before at other clubs. still only 28 as well. possibly shields fans might be able to say why they still have him at there club. FGR however signed another high scorer ricardo rees from merthyr tydfil and hardly hit the ground running there and was quite invisable at the vic. he scored more than blacket and two years younger. mind you its hard to see anybody worse than danny johnson is it.
