Jamie, I think you said you were arriving in Hartlepool this week?
On the night of the Southend game if I am correct?
And you did mention about meeting Snowy at Seaton?
Is this still on?
At last we may be able to put a face to a name!

The furthest I have been is Tesco, as Snowy said brass monkey weather albeit there is lovely blue sky.I used the Uber App for the first time, the fella who picked us up was local, the return journey was with a dark skinned fella from the
Boro.
Popping out around 5 for a couple of beers, nope I am not telling anyone where as I might get jumped on.

I always go down to Seaton after 6 with the dogs for an hour on the prom ( no parking charges after 6)…..and despite the sky being brilliant blue …..it’s Baltic.
Oddly enough, five minutes drive inland and it’s a pleasant sunny day.

The female said he/she would settle down dog that it is, did it no, in the end the fella took it home thank goodness, why take a dog in a bar ?

It certainly didn’t enhance her appearance, the tattoos looked like a bottle of ink had been splashed on the back of her hands.

If I had a tan which I don’t, I never sit in the sun, I am as white as a sheet Snowy you wouldn’t see it if I did as I was wrapped up with woolly hat etc, I couldn’t believe the number of people young and old wearing shorts no jackets etc, have they stopped selling long trousers and jackets in Hartlepool ?

Yep little India, Yuills wanted to buy up the houses and refurbish them for private sale, the council for some reason just bulldozed them.
Wasn’t there some horses seen in some of the houses, some had no internal doors as they had been chopped up for firewood, when the Queen visited it was rumoured the residents were all given money by the council to buy new net curtains ?

Sussex I live in the tattoo capital, tattoo shops everywhere, quiet a few of the younger girls have adorned their bodies with tattoos, horrible black ones, not unusual to see full arms or legs and on their backs. Some aging foreign fellas have them, some look recently done as well, reliving their past, they go with the pony tales they have grown or shaved heads some with tattoos.

No thanks but it is a very sunny but sheltered (from winds) spot. Sometimes gets up to 100 f. We were out there until around eight, when it started to get a bit chilly as the sun started disappearing behind foliage.

Full arms are bad enough but have seen both legs on fellas tattooed just below the knee looking like long socks. Some stunning girls who obviously are brain dead with tattoos, the poor education in the past means they are loads of uneducated people who can’t read or write but know how to work a calculator !

have always wondered what amount of compo you would get if you had an accident that left you with visible scars no worse than tatoos on your face, neck and body.

He’s a Bedlington/Patterdale cross and the Bedlington shows in his muzzle…the bloke who started breeding them back in the 60’s said they had the Bedlington brains and the Patterdales’ ‘belligerence’…..called them an evil genius…he was right there
That said, he can’t weld to save his life so I question the ‘genius’ tag. ;)

You're right Jamie - 1977 July - I was working for the Council during that Summer and we had the job of sorting out the street lighting all along Seaton Lane - saw the kids ripping off the panel covers at the base of the street lights and, using a brick and urine, turning the lights into the equivalent of mortars! Anyway, yes, the folk were asked to move their horses out to the rear of the houses - I saw one looking out of a bedroom window - and net curtains were provided. The gardens and fences were tidied numerous times during the days before the cavalcade went down Seaton Lane.

I distinctly remember coming down Seaton Lane junction with the Golden Flatts roundabout in the late 70's/early 80's and seeing a nag coming in and out of a house on the estate, we laughed at the time but it didn't surprise me tbh.

The ‘dining rooms’ At the back of the houses made accessible stables…trying to remember who it was who chopped his stairs up for fire wood.

We start our sojourn back to Thailand tomorrow, 24 hours door to door albeit our connection time in Amsterdam is only 1 hour so could be longer if we don’t make the connection.
My summary on my stay, it’s been baltic Sunday in particular where it pi**ed down all day, Seaton was dead. Round the town and in Seaton never seen so many people with tattoos and old gadgies wearing shorts with a coat on but looking nithered. Shopping centre, more empty units than open ones, no idea why Boyes opened up, must have got a good deal on the rent ? Lots of Muslims ladies in the shopping centre in fact one beauty place was staffed by a Muslim, I was in my solicitors the assistant was Muslim, in Specsavers one of the Optometrists possibly 2 were Muslims. Cost of food shopping in the supermarkets has increased since the last time we were here 18 months ago.
Found a great beer in the 9:Anchors bar on the seafront, Coal Drop, a cross between Guinness and Murphy’s, probably one of the few places where they allow dogs, I remember when it was a paper shop.
Friday in Thailand a big day for me where we will find out about the Council election results, Farage has been invited to appear on some talk shows to discus the local elections, he has the £5 million security gift hanging over his head and doesn’t want to be questioned about it.

I'll guarantee Farage will be all over the media on Friday morning grinning like the proverbial Cheshire Cat.
Starmer in the other hand will be claiming it's a typical mid-term election massacre, but it won't stop him getting on with the job of government.

Jamie appears to be obsessed by Muslims.

If that happens Jamie will never be seen again…. He’ll burn his passport along with his bra and apply for Thai citizenship…until Farage’s Thai pen friend from school, comes to power.

I've tried Coal Drop beer and I'd agree with Jamie - it is an excellent brew - but that is where my affinity with him ends I guess. I would assume that bars and restaurants in Thailand will all welcome doggies - except for the live ones. Jamie's obsession with Starmer and Muslims seems like a mismatch as most lefties support Muslims - however they are terrified of the likes of Farage, Trump, and Wacky Zacky of the now radical (or should that be radish-Al) Veggie party. The results of today's polling should provide some indication of the mood of the Great British public although every party leader will claim a victory of some kind of course.
