Nowt to do with Grayson only managing 1 win in 11 games before he was sacked? Sure thing, that football was definitely better than Featherstone's 12 wins since he took over.

Don't panic though - I'm sure Kev's 'Newsflash' is a wind up and Feaths will be sacked at the end of the season. I heard Bromby & Co. have got Wayne Rooney lined up as manager

LS has brought in Bromby and Partners to lead and support transition in the Club’s football department ahead of next season, did they have representatives watching the recent games more so the 7-0 midweek defeat. I can’t see any changes in the staff until the end of the season.

Would you keep him and back him then? I'm guessing that you'll be in a minority in here if you would.
Personally, I think it's time we had a clean sweep, Fev is associated with consistent failure for most of his time here, he was the subject of the pizza-gate issue, he obviously never looked after his weight as a player and often turned up for pre-season like Billy Bunter. He was a dull player to watch and his teams are dull to watch imo.
I didn't agree with his appointment, although I hoped he'd succeed and you'll find I did actually praise him for gradually improving results and our style of play, up to the permanent appointment. Now it may be that he's feeling more pressure not to lose since that time, but surely the best way to try not to lose is to try to win every game from the KO?

No I wouldn't - and I've never said that I would. Never been bothered about Feaths' boring style of play as long as it gets results - getting out this horrible division is the only thing that matters.

The real killer is the inconsistency of his team - though I do keep pointing out that the new regime has done very little to strengthen the squad in the past 3 months. You seem to think that's its the manager's fault if new players don't get signed - a very outdated view of the way football clubs have been run for at least the last 10 years.

Anyway, there's no coming back from a 7-0 humiliation and I'm sure Feaths knows it. He'll remember what happened to Kevin Phillips.

I don't know how people like Bromby work but if their modus operandi fits in with modern football trends it will note stats, science, etc etc etc. At what point do they take notice to win ratios etc and if they have a benchmark apertaining to the stats and how much will Fevs be judged relative to that benchmark. Taking into account the level of player he has been given access to since he took over, the lack of strength in depth of his overall squad, the limits available benchwise, and his win ratio etc., the computer that these modern geniuses use might just judge him as a favourable option. God forbid but don't rule it out.

No out-dated view at all, Fev himself has said numerous times he's been in discussions with the club hierarchy to bring in players to strengthen key positions, so to intimate that signings are nothing to do with him is either wrong or he's lying about the process.
The inconsistency in the team is imo because they're being coached into a style of play that they're not entirely comfortable with, look how many players we have who arrived with good CVS but are being made to look embarrassingly poor at times, and some of them did so under Grayson too.
Boring football is ok when we're winning but it's not good when we're getting tonked by part-timers and especially at home, the numbers and the atmosphere at the Vic are indicative of the malaise the club is in. It's a shame because I'm still of the opinion that a manager with a more positive style of play could have had us sitting in the top 7 today. All about opinions and none of us is wrong eh?

You've got to wonder how much they really know about the level Pools are opeating at? The only profile that has worked for Pools recently is a young manager with some positive managerial experience at non-league level - a Dave Challinor in other words. Who are the managers who have defied expectations in the NL this season, or at the top end of the NLN?

The last thing we need is a 'bigger name' who has pretty much forgotten how he ever succeeded in the first place.

No wind up.
Just passing on info which I genuinely believe.
He's still here which seems quite bizarre.

On radio Tees last night that his win ratio is the best since DC.
But that's nothing to sing home about.
Mixed views on Fevs but he ain't for me.
Lacks discipline n tactical nous.

Lets remember this is a dog shit standard division and we Gunna come up way short of a top7 finish again.

Lots of ifs n maybes.

It would interesting to know who brought Liddle in, not the most ambitious appointment.

My ?

Why would Lidds leave his pretty secure job without knowing next season is a sealed deal.

I'm equally concerned about the distinct lack of younger players coming through the ranks and cementing a first team place, since Joe Grey 6 years ago I'm struggling to think of anyone who's made that leap, plenty of names who've flirted with the odd first team appearance, there's one on loan here, one on loan there, but plenty more who've seemingly disappeared into the ether.

We had another promising kid poached from our academy set up by a Championship club last summer. There's still nothing in the regulations that says compensation has to be paid to non-league academies.
