On Hartlepool's X account.

I mean, what was he even doing there? He should be marking their number 36 on the edge of the 6 yard box but instead he's behind the keeper!

Unbelievable anticipation.

It was that fast I couldn’t realise it had actually happened……like to see it in slow motion.

Remarkable clearance, looked a goal as soon as it left their players boot.

Excellent bit of defending.
But Hayes need to work on his reflexes instead of freezing on these long range shots.

Our outfield players also need to be getting better at closing attacking players down before they get the shots off.
We've conceded four goals recently from players running into acres of space down the middle and having a speculative pop from about 25 yards out.

We do give opposing forwards a lot of space to operate in, like a bleedin safari park …Morecambe’s two goals should never have been given the time or space to get their shots off…if we’re wedded to a defensive strategy, these things are pretty basic stuff.
