I hope that one of the first thins done by the new regime is to officially re name the ground as we all still know it as Victoria park. The alternative is if a certain person wants the name of his company in the name or emblazoned as main shirt that he pays the going rate and not as a freebie.

One of the first things I stated on here when Landon took over. Give us back our proper name for the ground.

or at least include it alongside of the sponsors name. something like say The Matalan Victoria Park if that company sponsored us. doubt there is a single pools fan who never calls the ground the vic just like bradford city fans go to valley parade and not some new sponsored name. on the surface it feels ground naming sponsorship is pointless when nobody home or away fan mentions it even if they actually know it. just wish Durex would sponsor mk dons ground as there cannot be a club with more dicks supporting them.

As long as ‘Ethel Tring Horse Stranglers plc’ don’t buy the club.

I think that is a no brainer- however how about going proper old skool and back to the original - Victoria Ground?

I love that name…so down to earth, no pathetic frills, just relating the word ‘Ground’ to it’s ordinary fans…all this pretentious tosh of changing it to ‘Park’ in the first place annoyed me..like some estate agent flogging a new estate to the ‘aspiring classes……

I wasn't overly keen when it became Park.
I understand why it changed- after HH built the 2 new stands in the mid 90's - which was a massive upgrade on the Gibson Era. However the old girl is looking tired again and a fresh revamp is again required after 30 years, to bring us into the 21st century.

Maybe a double decker Rink End and an improved CK stand that goes back to the boundary fence on Clarence Road- could build behind and incorporate the existing stand. Then rename it The Victoria Ground

Always thought of ways of ways to alter the ground, when bored for something to do….The CK stand could, as you said could be doubled in size back to Clarence Road, no problem.
It would have been great back in the day if the entire ground had been rebuilt in the Mill house fashion …you can only dream.
Mind you, we need to get the crowds up, because that’s what would justify it.
Also there’s the elephant in the room…the Council owns the ground…another minefield to tip toed through.

Ground to Park for me is the legacy to HH who totally transformed our club and laid the foundations for the eventual IOR glory day's.

There's easily enough spare land to redevelop the Vic up to 10000 capacity.
Not impossible to fill if we ever got back to league 1.
Away fans revenue cost Pools a fair amount last time due to Rink end being to small.

There's Deffo scope for bigger n better ambitions.

But in the short term it has to be stop this deep set in rot on the pitch.

Putting all my faith in Smithy.
Ya have to.
UTP.

6ft capital letters on the Clarence road side :THE VIC”

As you say lots of land unless otherwise planned for.
There will never be a better chance to develop than now.
But the crucial planning is Team side, Lets hope LS is NOT taking all the advice from within.
Its impossible now to do things on the cheap, If you have real intent.
And we find out very shortly, So i suggest lets buckle up!
