So Featherstone still saying that Pools cannot play with 2 Strikers . Even those it’s been known for months that none of the strikers can embrace it. I’ve said it before this manager sets his team up not to lose . School boy tactics. I get a lot of the strikers not up to speed but the manager has had loads of time to work on drills to get the best out of his strikers. What does the guy and his assistant actually do in training . I see no improvement in the final 3rd because the guy is too cautious . What’s the point in having strikers if you’re not going to play them . There employed in case the loan striker gets injured not as part of a dynamic set up. So much work needs doing for next year . If it was me I would just get rid of Featherstone now and give the job to Lenny. Feel sorry for Sinclair , works his socks of in system which is designed to fail. Featherstone states in his post match interviews that he does not set up to not play on the front front but his lack of technical awareness is so
Naive .

It's quite obvious he's an admirer of Guardiola and co playing modern football with very few PL teams playing with 2vstrikers. More worrying is his failure to alter his stance and tactics. And even more worrying is his failure to recognise that Miley is our best midfielder, Reid can't play back to goal, Campbell has struggled for weeks, Sheron has been pretty awful all season, yet his favourites start most games in the same boring style.
5 home wins and about 18 goals in 14 matches while he's been in charge should see him clearing his desk, it's been as bad as the fare we were served up by Sarll and will drive supporters away in their droves.

Fact is…we ain’t going up and we ain’t going down and Fev’s playing in the shallow end withou water wings till season’s end it appears.
I’d rather he was pulled out and replaced with someone who can play in the deep end.

It's hugely frustrating in that if he'd been just a tiny bit bolder or tactically aware we could have been sat in a play off place right now. It's 100% down to his ineptitude that we're not.
And, I get that people say we would have been tonked if we'd made the play offs but you never know and it's quite often a surprise team that wins it rather than the team that just misses out on automatic promotion. The bottom line is I'm sure we'd all have welcomed the opportunity to compete in the play offs or at least miss out having given ourselves every opportunity rather than watching the turgid shite that Fev sees as the only way to play the game.

Thing is, if people go into things with that attitude why bother, negativity in these circumstances will be rewarded with failure, most supporters of any club travel in hope, if they don’t… they’re masochists with chip on their shoulder.

Think we were supposed to get tonked at Stockport and by Torquay, Remember. NSD

Yeah but in those days we had a manager who knew what he was doing so as a fan you always had a reason to be a little bit optimistic. Not so these days.

To be fair I thought Challinor was a good and lucky manager, a rare combination.

They all need a slice of luck.
But being pigheaded deserves none.

If you are inflexible and walk in a straight line through a minefield, things go wrong.
If you walk through it adjusting your position and direction after each step, you get through.
So be flexible and adapt to circumstances.

on the day both stockport and torquay were as good or better than we were. the difference was we had players we expected to score and did unlike today when we go into shock when it happens. least heard thing at the vic this season is the goal scoring music.
