I don’t think Campbell had a bad game, the collapse began with the substitutions.
Sorry, but I don’t rate Hunter at all.

Campbell is being made a scapegoat imo. Although he hasn't been brilliant, he was having a better game than Sheron and Reid.
We lost for 2 reasons, the first being that we didn't score in the first half when we dominated for most of the 45 mins, the second was the ridiculous substitutions resulting in a loss of shape and basically a shambles which resulted in zero chances being created in the last 15 or so mins (Benn was clearly struggling after a knock and he wasn't taken off, why).
Featherstone needs to hold his hands up and ask himself why he can't get consistent performances from these players and he needs to accept that it's his job to do so.
No doubt the players will get today and tomorrow off to recover, they should all be in and watching the videos over and over again to see what we see and work on getting things right.
Another golden opportunity to close the gap to the play offs blown and tamely to another puss poor team at home.

Campbell has had a handful of good games for Pools but came in with the usual euphoria of what looked like- on paper - a very good signing from Crawley. As with so many over the years, it just hasn’t worked out. Feaths changed a winning team last night which was dubious to say the least.

My opinion is Campbell doesn’t impose himself on games enough, whether that’s off the wing or in the pocket behind the forwards. Feaths will like him as a central midfielder himself as technically Campbell is probably one of the best and you can imagine he finds passes in training that half the rest of the squad can’t see.

With us playing a lone striker, those attacking wingers/midfielders obviously need to do a lot more to get around Reid. Just looks like Sinclair fits our system far more than Campbell does right now.

at the outset and earlier in the game i thought it was a good change. thought he was playing decent and more involved than hunter would have been. if the result had been the same he,d have been knocked again for playing both sheron and hunter in the same team at home where its never been a big success apart from one game against carlisle. as a manager its hard to win at times especially with fans who are wise after the event. same with the subs which in other games have worked in our favour.

The manager picks the team, sets the formation, makes the substitutions and he has to carry the can.
Reid with back to goal is embarrassing, he's as weak as piss and as heartless as the Lion from Oz.
Not for the first time did his substitutions make us look like a pub team kicking off straight after an all night lock-in. Benn was struggling big time after a knock and he left him on the pitch FFS
Granted he can't do anything about players missing golden opportunities, but tactically he's totally naive and not ready for management at this level, imo.

Campbell although replacing Hunter, Actually took Miley,s position, Miley imo will never be a defensive midfielder, NF moved Miley to accommodate Campbell.
Thats why the Mags Un21s played Miley behind the front players where Campbell played last night.
Sheron again imo is a shadow of the player he was last season, Cam John should stopped the first goal, And not the answer for me next season and neither is Sinclair.
And take your pick of players for the second.

they were opportunities but not like hunters 4 yard miss. thought sutton as well missed a load of chances so for me it evened things up.

Be a funny old game if we all saw the same thing, long live differing opinions on the pitch.

Bit of a bugger when a defensive midfielder has to get in the six yard box.
