Suppose it all depends who comes in as manager.
If a new manager is coming in and has to keep players he has no desire to keep then we aren’t serious about promotion.
If Featherstone is promoted to glory……..er, let’s not go ditherer eh?
We’re going to get educated in the close season if we want to know if our new owner is serious about getting out of this fly trap of a league.

Throw money at what players, you need an experienced manager to identify them, who is at the club to do that, Joe Monks, whatever happened to Ronnie Moore, wasn’t he supposed to identify potential signings ?

Ronnie was diagnosed with incurable blood cancer (myeloma) last July. It was reported he was due to get a stem-cell transplant. Hope that happened and that he's doing ok.

Seems unlikely that he is doing any scouting work, but who knows? Ronnie never gave another interview after his chief scout role was announced 2 years ago and Joe Monks is as publicity-shy as Andew Mountbaten Windsor, so - fill in the blanks however you want.

Apologies I wasn’t aware of Ronnie Moores ailment, Pools should have put it on the OS but communication has never been their greatest asset.

so feathers has no clue now on how good players are. where has that come from. nobody knows on here whether he can spot a player or not or at the moment where he will be shopping for them yet. how many have been signed over the last few years who could say the highpoint of there career was in a pools shirt. most have either not hit there hights of previous clubs and some have improved once they left.

He's had the operation Mr H and is now recuperating. I understand it was successful but as usual has his chin up and chirping. Takes some knocking down does Ron Ron.

I would like us to use the rest of the season trying to develop an attacking style that takes the game to all opponents, home and away! Setting the team up for draws is a waste of time as the playoffs are all but done. Promotion next season can only be achieved by winning games, particularly against the weaker teams that we have struggled against of late.

Might be some logic to bringing back some former Poolies - to push the message that we were decent and will be again - so I'm not too worried about Lidds. And I heard that Danny Wilson was in Throston bookies today and that Boydie is back out jogging. Good times could be coming back. And now could be the time for Big Stevie to return.....

think we all want more penalty area excitement and goals. i,d say the vast number of managers also want it. however they can only set up with the players they have but tactically they could make us more front foot than we have been with the present squad to camp out more in the opposition half than we have done especially at the vic. at times its hard to tell who the home team is if you did not know. at least the old days gave us the flustration of opponents getting behind the ball to make it difficult for us to score.

I remember Hartleys first press conference, he said he likes his teams to play fast attacking football, after watching the friendlies in Portugal it was obvious we were doomed from then.
