Nailed on now that the 'Landon Smith era' at Pools starts in the summer, with a different manager in charge.

It'll take a couple of 'statement' signings even then to convince the fans.

We have to presume that this 'project' excited Landon, if we are to believe he has paid serious money to acquire the club.

He hasn't rung the changes or presented a new shiny toy in the form of a big new signing(s). It has actually all been very understated, less the flamethrowers on the pitch at the Altrincham match.

It has been yet another disappointing season supporting Pools. It is safe to assume a fair chunk of fans have returned to their disinterested state with matters on the pitch, given attendances are trending downwards.

I think we are all eagerly awaiting something that can pull us out the mire, and that has to be big change from when the season is officially/mathematically completed. New manager, new strategy, new & better players, hopefully new exciting commercial opportunities (documentary, america, kit providers, sponsors?). The works. All needed. But that's just me keeping my fingers crossed that that's what Landon is also planning to invest & grow us in to.

Now we have no chance of making the play offs nothing will happen, hopefully there is plenty going on behind the scenes about new signings and possibly a new manager although they brought Liddle in for some reason even after his not too convincing spell at Whitby.

its actually from a watching point of view the worst season we have had since relegation. at least there were a few memorable games and players we could look back on and not just defenders. off the pitch its been worse also by big hopes for change not exactly happening yet. really hope we do not finish 8th or 9th as you can here words of improvement from previous seasons being thrown out by the club. flamethrowers for the alty game have turned into a damp squib and we,ll be getting laughed at yet again by the others.

To be fair we were never really in with a chance of making the play-offs. Week after week Pools have started games with next to nothing on the bench - old lags like Johnson and Ferguson and forgetable loan signings like Brown and Nathaniel-George.

The time to really strengthen the squad was January but instead we got some guff about waiting till the window was over to have our pick of the rest. Don't remember the likes of Oldham and Notts County waiting, nor even Pools in the promotion season.

Should have reeled in Halifax by now but Southend? No chance.

We had a chance to gain momentum and put pressure on Southend and Halifax but decided to park the bus rather than actually go after wins. We're in the doldrums, again.

So you say. I reckon playing most of a season with only one regular(-ish) goalscorer on the books has more to do with it. I mean, when Vadaine Oliver came in and grabbed a few goals Alex Reid was out injured. You really couldn't make it up!

Lets see in the next few weeks. If Feaths has Reid, Oliver and Charlie Caton available and stll starts with only one striker I'll agree with you, case closed.

I'd love to be proved wrong but I seriously doubt he'll start a game with 2 strikers playing as a pair.
It's a shame really because we've still got both Southend and Halifax to play and Southend are scheduled for 9 games in March including Carlisle, Forest Green, and Rochdale within a couple of weeks.

We've been spoilt rotten this season off the pitch.

Featherstone is like someone trying to prove you can make a car run with a rear wheel missing, despite everyone telling him it won’t work.
But he ploughs on…and so does the car.

Nothing to lose now, he can let the shackles off and be more adventurous, change the tactics maybe even bring some of the youth players in.

He won’t loosening his boxer short elastic, let alone taking any shackles off….he’s on the rigid road to nowhere like Starmer and incapable of reacting to events.
