TBH I can take or leave O’Brien, not really my cup of tea, I couldn’t listen to him for a full 2 hours, I only listen to him on short YouTube clips if it’s of any interest to me.

Well Starmer has survived and maybe seen off the Streeting challenge and got rid of a few dodgy advisers.
The labour party has no alternative option except Burnham who has been seen off.
He may well see the year out imo.

With by-election then local elections coming up I doubt anyone with ambition would want to be PM until Starmer's carried the can for those. Can see a hefty cabinet re-shuffle in the next couple of weeks as he desperately tries a re-set, Reeves to go and possibly Streeting demotion as he tries to show the country and his MPs that he's listening, putting a threat from Streeting down. Labour MPs won't rock the boat too much as they'll all be on benefits come an early GE.
Meanwhile, cost of living continues to rise and the rudderless ship that is the UK gets closer and closer to the rocks.

It's the beginning of the end for this parliament imo, Starmer staggers on until the fiasco of local elections is over with Labour councillors losing their seats on an unprecedented scale, Scottish Labour are swept away again, and Reform take control of Wales. Then the internal fighting within Labour will rip the party apart with the leftists and unions gaining power. And then the real shit show begins,.........

If he stays on, it’s only out of the dire shortage of anyone to fill the role…Milliband, Rayner, Streeting etc are popular in small numbers, but no one stands out…..the cat fighting and bitching has started earlier than even the Tory’s usually do…… when they thought he was going too they raised their flags aloft, when it didn’t happen overnight they pulled the flags down and got back into line….so obvious, but they never blush.

Streeting - dead in the water now. His association with Mandlesson and his criticism of government means he'll be put out to grass soon.

Rayner - still got the tax dodging hanging over her.
Milliband - tried, tested, failed as opposition leader, also a Fecking lunatic.
My money would be on either Lucy Powell or Jess Phillips.

Streeting is the biggest threat to Starmer for leadership. Whats the saying "Keep your friends close - and your enemies closer". Streeting on the back benches would be quite a risk.

The angle on Mandy that no-one seems to mention is that he was compromised as Ambassador to the US. The files that have been released were released by the FBI! In his role as Ambassador we don't know whether he was lobbying for UK interests or following orders from the FBI. Did he pass any Government information/briefings on to US services during his time as ambassador? If MI5/6 didn't advise against his appointment then there is something seriously wrong with our security services. If the US government wasn't pressurising him with the information they had on file, then something is wrong with security services in the US. I get the feeling that withholding the release of advise from security services and e-mail and whatsapp exchanges at the request of the police is a way of ensuring that the truth doesn't get out. Nothing like a good conspiracy theory.
