2-0 to The Lambs. Dour defensive nightmare of a game but the home side score from a set piece in the the second half so Pools have to attack to get a leveller. Pools get hit on the break to make it 2-0. After the game, Feaths says Tamworth a good side in a false position and there were some positives in the Pools performance.

2-1 to them, we score first, but………Featherstone throws Operation ‘They shall not Pass’ his defensive master plan into operation….as planned…and as unplanned we lose 2-1.
Pleeeeeease….just try playing entertaining football with a smile on it’s face and get a result.

every defensive player on the books will be shoehorned into the side and we,ll still lose 1 nil with there keeper needing treatment for the cold after being a spectator all the game.

Anutha none win.
Mutiny in the team to continue.
Half decent crowd v Carlisle then a major drop off.

It's certainly not £22 valueism for sure.

3 nil to Tamworth.

PTID and Bluestreak lead the chant 'Bring back back Raj', Snowy draws a picture of a beast looking like a cross between Karl Marx and the King of Thailand sitting with a blow up doll between his legs, and Poolie27 is escorted from the ground wearing a matching Angela Raynor nose and chest combo.

at least a defeat will bury the play off pie in the sky comments. a win would see it being resurrected for 4 fays until the york game.

Fev tells us he's going for the win but sets up with a goalkeeper, 9 players told to defend the clean sheet, and Reid up front on his own but not isolated (in his eyes only).
We play some safe triangles across the back with the keeper and 2 CBs seeing more of the ball than anyone else.
Concede a daft goal midway through the first half and go in 1 down at half-time.
Shortly after kicking off we concede again and on 60 minutes Fev takes off Sheron, Parkes, and Benn and tells the replacements to just run about in the attacking half cos something will happen, it does we concede another 2 and lose 4-0.
Fev tells us again how good Tamworth are and that they're in a false position. Didn't see the result coming the lads had had a good week in training (the week being Tuesday and Wednesday with Monday off and Friday travelling). Hell again tell us the squads not good enough and he hopes for better signings next week when the Lithuanian 6th division transfer window closes.
I don't want Raj back btw.

Early days while new owner gets to grips with his new toy, I did say many times over the last couple of years the problems on the pitch won't change simply with a new owner haha.

2-1 Tamworth, Charman equalises early second half following an early gaffe between the Pools keeper and the defence that gifts the mighty Tamworth the lead but Pools concede a late winner. Featherstone points the finger at the players once again and signs three EFL loanees next week - too little - and far too late.

My fourth game of the season tomorrow - having witnessed a win, a defeat and a draw- at Alty, Aldershot and Brackley respectively - so due a win. On that basis, I'm going for a 1 nil Pools win with Danny Johnson scoring the only goal and providing me with an 'I was there' moment!

Though if I'm being realistic more than likely be 0-0 as they have scored one more goal than us all season- so zero chance of it being a goal fest!

Crowd 1325
167 Poolies in attendance

I reckon our inconsistency has been lacking recently - in other words we've just been consistently disappointing.

So we're due for an out of nowhere, once in a while great performance, where everything just clicks and we all think "at last - it's all come together!" (because we never learn).

So Tamworth 1 Pools 3

You could be right as NF stated in prematch interview “we play on plastic 5 months of the season”

I think Featherstone should put some cardboard cut outs in their box. You never know someone might score. Absolute dross . Lots of possession. Soon as we get into the box clueless . They nearly scored on 45 mins

1-0 pools undeserved. They just had a penalty and the player stopped before he touched the ball and scored. Rather than taking the penalty again, ref just give the ball to pools . Bizarre

That was just wierd. Penalty to Tamworth. Their player did one of those cocky stop start run ups and scored. Ref decided that it wasn’t a continuous run up and disallowed it. He then gave Pools a free kick from which everyone’s favourite Campbell scored for Pools.

1-0 to Pools

And then Pools revert to type and don’t defend a fairly innocuous cross. 1-1

And the irony is that a 1-1 draw puts pools closer to the play offs that they were this morning with both Halifax and Southend losing. Another goal would put us joint 7th. This is a surreal season with so many teams determined to not make the play offs.

One of these teams is in a false position. And it's not bloody Tamworth.

How we ever got a goal in that game playing like we did is beyond me. It's like watching the Chuckle brothers at times "to you", "to me", "to you", "to me" (going nowhere).

Talks about play offs then sends that team out, 2 shots on target FFS, made worse when Southend and Halifax both lost.

Because he is way, Way out of his depth.
If LS cannot see that, Then next season will be a write off before a ball is kicked.

made even worse since he got security of the job till the end of the season with things getting worse once that happened. thats the more annoying part as he wasn,t doing too bad a job as a caretaker.

He should get a job in security. I am sure he would do a better job patrolling the fence of some industrial sight.

Didn’t see anything wrong with that penalty going off current standards. Never been a fan of the stuttering run up and that it should be banned anyway, however that’s the first time I’ve seen a player pulled up for it.

Apparently the stuttering is allowed but the last step and strike must be a continuous movement, I agree it was harsh disallowing it as it was a hugely subjective decision. It's a shame that all refs don't apply all the rules consistently, Trippier grabbed an attackers shirt in the box last night for Newcastle and nothing given, backed up by the VAR who said there was a shirt pull but he didn't seem it enough for a penalty - it would have been given without VAR 100% of the time outside the box. And why not use VAR to retrospectively punish the cheats?
We got out of jail again Andy fatty Tonks was better than all of our midfielders.

See it regularly obviously trying to get the keeper to move, it would take a brave ref. to do it at a higher level.

A penalty kick is as straightforward and simple as it gets, why risk getting it wrong and looking stupid - just Fecking run up to the ball and smash the Fecking thing (a la Shearer)?
