Another area that needs looking into is Mandy's expenses over the years, including those for his Brazilian bum boy!

Only a politician would be surprised that Mandy is a liar! How the hell do most of them get elected? It beggars belief how far removed from reality those people in the Palace of Westminster are. Speaking as a pleb, I'd like a law introduced anyway that these granted Lords and Ladies titles can be taken back (Mandy 'resigned' rather than have it removed by just such a law that does not yet exist).

A plague on both your houses...

We elected a monkey as mayor, our unofficial club anthem was a hit for a paedo, and our ex president was a close friend of a paedo and possibly a traitor to the country - you couldn't make it up.

Maybe we should change the club nickname to the "Spy's", what with the monkey being a French spy and Mandy being a Russian one... apparently.

It's looking highly likely that Mandy gate will bring down Starmer. I can see a huge Labour party rift coming with the Left taking control and preparing the ground for the next coalition government before the end of the fixed term.

just wonder if he has something on starmer. he is the last lying snake i could ever give a job to. 14 years of tory rule might have been bad, but 13 years of new labour liers was worse and the start of the shit we are going through. nice being in smug corner seeing your most hated politician getting stick from everywhere. no starmer fan but would hate someone like mandelson to bring him or anyone else down.

Starmer will survive, McSweeney will take the rap, whilst no one can do any worse than Starmer i struggle to think of anyone in the Labour Party who would be a credible replacement.

I'll be surprised if Starmer doesn't go in the coming weeks, he'll definitely be gone after the May elections and then the Labour Party will implode as the left and the moderates scrap for control which will only make things worse for us all.
Then it'll be the strangest GE in my lifetime with fragmented Labour and Tory parties, the inexperienced and propped up by Tory defector Reform, and the Greens, with the obviously irrelevant Lib Dems as choices. That's why I'm convinced that we'll have another coalition as our next government.
I think Blair goes down as my most despised PM. Starmer is up near the top of my list too though, as is Boris, May, and Major.

agree. unless years of forgetfullness have hit me hard i do not think that con/lib coalition was all that bad seeing what came after it and is still with us. the next question on our minds should be when the next GE actually arrives. Just cannot see how labour can last till 2029 as its hard to see any improvement coming to the country.

With their large majority and their poll ratings I doubt any Labour MP would vote for a G.E., I don’t think the conservatives would favour one either.

Politics is worse here, since the end of the absolute monarchy in 1932, Thailand has experienced 12 or 13 successful military coups, along with numerous attempted ones. It is considered one of the world's most coup-prone nations, with a consistent pattern of military interventions. The most recent successful coups occurred in 2006 and 2014.
Any party who stands and tries to rock the boat the elitists always find a reason to ban them through the courts full of old farts.
There is G.E. next Sunday, a 24 hour nationwide ban on alcohol sales for 24 hours, all the bars will be closed, no sales in shops or supermarkets, it’s so the Thais can vote with a clear head.
It has been forecast to be another coalition like the previous one, Thailand is being labelled the ‘sick man’ of Asia by analysts, as its economy stagnates amid political paralysis.

No matter what the result is it won’t affect the average Thai, they are very resilient and just get on with life.

especially from those with a similar younger background to her who will be against her from day 1, unlike another ex public school type some seem to prefer. in some ways its a petty she blotted her copybook for other similar lasses in the future who wanted to better themselves. doubt anyone one would want to be a raynor mk.2 for a few years.

Have you got a link to show Labour Together were involved in the appointment of Mandleson ? When it was announced in Parliament Mandleson was going to be the ambassador only 1 front bench Tory MP objected.

Er, there was an emergency debate in Parliament led by David Davis which was about the appointment, vetting process, and suitability of Mandlesson to the Ambassador post. Many Tory MPs raised serious doubts about him, it's recorded in Hansard.

Doesn’t matter who didn’t object, it was not the various opposition party’s who appointed him.
Starmer did.
Why bother objecting when The Right Reverend Starmer was going to shove his pal in to the post anyway……that’s like objecting against the tide coming in.
Making himself the victim when it all went tits up is pathetic.

Neither of them unfortunately there is no one in the current Labour Party, Rayner still has the tax thing hanging over her head plus her accent and background don’t bode well, the right wing MSM would have a field day. Streeting would he be the first openly gay PM, it’s coming out now he allegedly had a close relationship with Mandates sending text messages some with an x at the end.
The Labour Party needs a good clear out, I would have favoured Andy Burnham, did Starmer know the revelations about Mandleson were going to be revealed and that’s the reason he blocked him standing for Parliament. If he did win the seat Starmer realised he would be a real threat to him, currently none of the Labour Party are.
