Just over a week to go till the visit to York and the retail park stadium.
Will we do a Rochdale or roll over and capsize…?
If I was a betting man …..I’d leave my money safely tucked up in my wallet.

We will get humped! By a team full of attacking intent!

With the exception of the 1-1 draw with Southend, York regularly score 3 or four goals at home. No reason to expect anything else. Money has been spent on this team and they have an experienced and astute manager. Pools are the direct opposite: they struggle to score, very little money has been spent on the team, the manager is inexperienced and tactically limited. Of course we will defend like hell but York will win easily. I know that some will point to the Rochdale result, but York are vastly superior to Rochdale.

The neutral venue v Rochdale produced a neutral result.

Like the win was created by accident n luck.

Can,t wait for the pre match interview, It will be a classic.
And post match will be even better.

York have far too many attacking options for us, I'll be surprised if they don't score three or four at least and we shall get our usual nil.

Let's not forget that two of our better players are York loanees considered to be surplus to requirements by them.

And they won't be available to play in the York game.

Just think if York had a Hartlepool player or two on loan who weren't available for the game. How Utterly unrealistic and other worldly is that?

that shows how poor our recruitment really is. we,ll never get anyway getting rejects from other clubs in the same league. ok it might be all the club can afford and i,ll be looking close now at players we do start to sign. be watching on dazn but how long i,ll be watching it for is another matter.

You are so correct…he’s in the media more or less saying players are useless….in these scenario’s you exercise proper management tactics and bull up what you have to work with and get some fire in their belly…it’s called team building.

The feel good factor of Raj's departure is rapidly being diminished by the latest inept occupant of the managers seat. we have asked the same questions but he gets paid to answer them and he hasn,t. feel the job is just too much for him and needs to revert back to his previous position with the club. hate to see a good servant of the club just getting the sack and quicker he does the right thing for pools they might do the right thing for him. surely the club is in a better place now to find a decent replacement. my crystal ball says he,ll be gone after the sutton defeat on valentines day.

Just thought I would revive this thread. York will tear us a new arsehole on Wednesday but Feaths will have a get out of jail free card because York generally beat all comers. Defeat by Sutton at the Vic next game will be harder to dismiss. Wondering if he might finally do the decent thing after it.

more likely an expected defeat but in a close game at york and a boring win against sutton will just be enough to keep him going a little longer. like a car where you use minimum work on it knowing it will never pass a MOT ever again.

Can't see it being anywhere near close at York, they'll tear us a new one with their attacking threat against our depleted defence, non existent midfield, and zero attacking intent or threat. Can see it being a 4 or 5 goal loss. Then a backs to the wall draw with Sutton followed by the same excuses but we're still in sight of the play offs although you'll need binoculars and an enormous dose of optimism to see them.

in theory it should on paper be a game against a promotion candidate and a team with hopes of a play off place. if both teams were in opposite positions in the league with tactics like the other we,d be expecting a difficult game. on wednesday they might just as well be playing morecambe or truro for what we,ll be offering.

Probably no fullbacks for this game due to injury and ineligibility so can't see anything but struggle, if someone comes in for this one they're going to have to hit the ground running otherwise it'll be McNally, Sheron/Hunter filling in.
