Looking forward to the post match interview. No one saw this coming. Earlier in the week I did say that Aldershot have had some thumping wins and certainly know where the goal is. I also said they would be fancying their chances. I take no pleasure in this. I am 100% pissed off and want the new owner to give Feaths his marching orders: he has shown he is out of his depth. Just wondering if the Poolie faithful were singin "Ya dont know what you're doing".

That ever popular ditty could easily have been sung at Featherstone, the referee and 85% of the players but let's face it this result has been coming for several weeks. We have rode our luck for several weeks against inferior sides like Alty, Gateshead, Brackley. The Woking fiasco should have been a wake up call but was swept under the carpet. No hiding place today for players, coaches, backroom staff alike - all badly exposed for what the state the club actually is at present. Not necessarily a bad thing tbh.

Just watched the managers post match interview. Same old. He takes responsibility but reckons the players also need to take a look at themselves. Reckoned we were set up more attacking minded today but that we're not ready for that yet (what the heck does that mean?). Charman isn't feeling well and Daly has family issues. Thank you and good night Nicky Featherstone.

Heard the interview myself, We are not ready to become that team.

Seems to me Aldershot 5th bottom were more than capable, He simply does NOT make sense.
I was almost falling for it as well, Seems he wants ready made players.
Not manager material unfortunately.

Who starts with a RB on the left when your best LB is on the bench?
Who starts a player who's arrived a couple of days ago and hasn't kicked a football competitively this year?
Who when we go a goal down decides that the shape of the team doesn't matter as long as you've got all your available attacking options on the pitch?
Why is Reid played as an isolated striker when he's got none of the attributes that a lone striker needs to have.
Aldershot had shipped 55 goals in 27 games before today, we barely had a shot on target at home.
They were more up for it and thoroughly deserved the win, most of our lot looked like they were on ketamine and couldn't give a fook.
Fev is not the answer and needs replacing asap.

Decided to go today and just got back. We thought we we would do our bit and turn up to show support for the new regime. I really regret the decision and wish we hadn't bothered. We actually discussed at half time whether to stay for the second half and decided that it had to get better. Well it didn't and we eventually left before the end. I can't give any description other than it was a dire watch. Aldershot were far better, quicker and more street wise than us and there is not one positive to take away from that performance of ours. The shots were masters of the dark arts and used them to the full. They were, of course, allowed to do so by the worst bunch of officials I have ever had the misfortune to witness and, believe me, I have seen my share.
I am in shock after today and have decided my next return will probably be some way off and not until I see positive evidence of change for the better. There is a helluva lot of work needed to get us anywhere near the football league and when I said recently that LS needs to get it going ASAP and show some evidence of sorting the job out, I honestly didn't realise the size of the task in front of him. I have now witnessed first hand with my own eyes and I repeat, I am shocked.

Once again as I entered wetherspoons around 2-30 and watched the poor deluded few on their way to watch the predictable implosion of pools v a team at the wrong end of the league I congratulated myself at once again not wasting my money on a team going no where and spent it instead on beer. sadly.

Midfield is a huge problem, we have no one who can control the midfield, drive forward and support the striker/s. We hoof the ball long and hope we can somehow win the second ball, Reid is totally isolated and wasted like that. As someone mentioned earlier why did we persist with playing a right footed player at left back when John was available again? It meant our best central defender was playing at right back and was unfortunately at fault for the first two goals. Featherstone has shown he is way out of his depth and the sooner an experienced manager takes over the better, until then talk of playoffs is total poppycock.

Today's pathetic performance against a team from the lower reaches of the NL is nothing new!
Teams are in low positions in the NL for one reason, namely they get beaten more often than not by many other teams. However Pools, for the last few seasons, have made a habit of failing to beat poor teams so today's result is just the continuation of a trend.

And Coleman has done it in a matter weeks, Experienced manager is required no point waiting.
Need someone who knows how to handle players, NF is far too close to them.

Not sticking up for NF, But todays Aldershot is not the 1 that got them where there are.
Coleman has sorted things out their recent form proves that, Thats what a decent manager brings you.

Absolutely spot on Greyhound - a decent, experienced manager should be able to sort out the mess that is the Pools squad at present. I for one would not allow Featherstone to be involved in any further signings or departures as the guy is clearly well out of his depth. He has been a fantastic servant to the club as a player and coach but no way is he cut out to be a team manager. Another decent home attendance today but many of those who witnessed the feeble and embarrassing capitulation will not be returning anytime soon - and the club can forget about further sales of half season tickets. Only at Pools can the fantastic boost of a new and ambitious owner just a few weeks back be followed by such a spineless, gutless display by the players and team management. Despite the fact that Landon Smith is not in the UK at present I feel sure that the loyal fanbase would like to some kind of positive statement in the light of what happened today which has effectively ended our season.

We can kick the ball around till the cows come home but we need to start again….this is just delaying the supposed new era.

those who have stayed away must be thinking pools are in a false position. really, and its not just yesterday we have not made our opponents look bad or have seen a memorable game at the vic all season. unless there is a miracle and we win our next two away games we,ll be back to just about 3,000 for our next home game as fans have only come back in big hopes for the future and not watch another load of scrap managed by someone who either lacks experiance, knowhow or both.

I'm just glad we only need less than ten points to be safe from relegation because it seems to me that Pools are starting to become the soft touches of the NL. We won away against Rochdale but that was obviously a one off because we have been poor as well as lucky in the games before and after Rochdale. Tamworth will be looking forward to scoring two or three next week. Demoralised? Me? Too fecking right.

actually if anybody did not know this was supposed to be a new era they would still be thinking raj was still in charge. apart from the temporary extra fans coming what has really changed yet. we have seen a number of similar pools performances over the last few seasons to know its not just a blip.

one thing about the ineptitude of most of our players yesterday its kept us talking about that god damn awful referee we were saddled with. everything he did or asked players to do was at such a slow pace and looked quite disinterested as if the game was beneath him. even staring the second half saw him just stood there with between a 5 and 10 second silence before deciding to blow his whistle to start. a monotone whistle that apart from once was the same whistle for everything. was it just a bad day at the office for him or someone else like fevs promoted above there real capabilities.
