Bounce back ability is the key word.

0-2 win to Pools. Campbell brace. 201 Poolies.

The ground is called "The rare breed meat co stadium" :o

after last saturday this has become a must win game with a good performance on top of it. at least the players will be away from the vic which seems a help for this squad of players. not predicting a win as that would curse them.

It is now on the Sunday schedule for National league games to be streamed. It definitely wasn't on their website last night but fortunately it has now appeared.

Because it's Christmas! Everything goes tits up and out of kilter at bloody Christmas. I for one can't wait until its January 5th, we are into the New Year and the run up to the NL playoffs begins in earnest. Until then..... BAH HUMBUG!

My view is Christmas should be a bi annual event and the fallow year should be turned over to some Pagan type festival which is far more fun ;)

See Pharrell Brown has had his loan extended for another month. Makes some sort of sense as Francis will miss the next 2 games. Hope he can push on from the level he set in the Truro game.

No idea. Can't recall any mention of an injury. Would love to know if signing him was Grayson's idea or another Joe Monks brainwave?

Walker hasn't featured on the pitch since the Carlisle game in early October. Didn't even make the bench for the Anstey fiasco. Nice 'work' if you can get it

Best of luck to him. No longer good enough for the FL as we were when he was with us but I guess he is now playing at a level suited to his age and ability.

Never rated him when he was here originally, but he was always praised back then, but I thought maybe it was me who was wrong, was I missing something, but on reflection nothing had changed in his style of play….a bit like the kings new clothes fable.
But those who bought into the original story were probably expecting more than they never actually had the first time around.
Maybe with any player we should just be honest with ourselves judge what our eyes tell us and not fall for the sell on patter.

Even if the best player in the world said the PL is overpriced crap and did not tow the corporate line he would be slated.

I will watch it but like most people will not expect anything . No chance whatsoever of making the playoffs. And as regards the bunker, when there are more threads about politics and local issues than Pools you know everybody else is apathetic too

Hardly surprising…just another season watching the world go by…..busy doing nothing and nothing on the horizon.

Whilst the k.o. might be ok for DAZN what about the fans who travel there and back from Hartlepool then have work in the morning, will it have an impact on the number of away fans who would normally go if it was a Saturday game ?

it certainly does not hurt me like it once did when pools lose. it does not spoil my weekend at put me in a bad mood anymore. i just shrug my shoulders and carry on. its not an age thing either.

I've given up being optimistic in view of the recent depressing results and expect us to fall into the bottom half of the league quite soon.
2-1 defeat at mighty Braintree Town.

Win n we go 7th top play offs land.

Is that a bridge to far?

Last chance saloon fixture.

No prediction from KPG.
Just that this for sure is the worst division 5 ever.

Well Featherstone organised a meeting with his players evidently and told them in no certain terms that the players attitude was not good enough. So if I see one striker upfront, sideways passing ,and no width or energy I will go spare. We can all see it . It’s always one step forward 2 steps back . I say I’m passed caring but I keep watching and paying my subscription . What an idiot !!!!

One good side is you can’t overdose……however, your house would be raided more times than a music festival and the dealer would be supplying you with a product that depressed you and had no street value…and smelt strongly of powdered Love Hearts.

Think it'll be more of the usual from Fev, can't see many changes and his (so far) preferred style seems more suited to away games. He'll bring on more attackers when and if we're chasing the game.
A big challenge for him as a coach to see if they can put on a performance. I reckon a four game with us just nicking it to edge into the play offs before we're humbled (putting it mildly) by Scunny and Rochdale. A Merry Xmas only to be dashed by finding out all our prezzies were fakes and fall apart on Boxing Day.

Sarfend are doing their best to keep us involved in the playoffs, but can we take advantage of that?, looking more and more like only one place up for grabs.

we blew it last time that happened and more than likely the same will happen today. all the play offs would do is to dash our hopes if we managed it anyway.

Looks that way. One of the top 6 would have to blow up really badly to give anyone else another sniff.

It'll be interesting to see what the Pools line-up for Braintree will be. Daly is overdue a spell on the bench - only scored once all season and doesn't do enough to affect games. Nathaniel-George is an out-and-out winger so let's see if he gets a start.

Sounds like Charman might make the bench afer his long lay off. And Oliver and McNally are close to full fitness - handy with Scunny and Rochdale coming up.

I have just seen this picture on arsebook whilst listening to the game on the radio.
In the background is what looks like the old Clarence Road stand with the next match being Watford.
Thing do change in football...............well it did for them!

Fairly even game . Reid isolated as per usual . Not enough quality upfront . No surprise there ! Using the wings more which is better and loads of corners but usual story nobody on the end of them . 2 teams who have trouble scoring and you can tell. Pace picked up last 20 mins but playoffs nah!!

Poor, looked like a friendly. If by some fluke we scrap into the play offs expect two defeats.
