What in the #$%# is Fev seeing there?!

20 minutes in we go 0-1 down, and it takes that #$%# until the 60th minute to make a change. He brings on 2 wingers who don’t have a clue and doesn’t hook the absolute donkey (John) at left back of the absolute cart horse midget (Cambell) at CM.

Totally, totally clueless and totally, totally out of his league. Featherstone you’ve been a good servant to the club but FO!!

As I mentioned in another thread I was happy for Feathers to get the job permanently but I thought Raj should have waited until after the Christmas fixtures before he acted as we haven't had much in the way of decent opposition lately. I thought Yeovil were a half decent side but we made them look like automatic promotion contenders. The worst thing was that Feathers appears to have learnt absolutely NOWT from last week's gaffe. After a brightish start Pools soon went into tippy - tappy sideways mode. It was clear from early doors that the stifling 'attacking' tactics were having no impact on the strong Yeovil defence. Francis, if not Brown too should have started the game before Yeovil had taken a lead which they defended efficiently for the rest of the game . They could easily have been two or more up, the absolute howler when the Yeovil striker hit the post was just one of several good opportunities. On today's display we have no chance of making the play offs, in fact we resembled a relegation threatened outfit at times with some appalling play by almost all of the players.Simply NOT good enough.

PS Just seen that Francis received a red card at the end, I was on my way out in disgust by then but turned back to witness a melee with the usual knobheads and scroats taking an interest.it just gets better and better!

Today was massively disappointing after recent form. Disagree on John, think he’s been great whether on the left side in a 4 or 3rd CB in a 3. Topallaj on the other hand… Francis as well, underwhelming and today tops it off. Reid barely got a kick, we have no presence in the attack.

They had a game plan and it worked a treat. John has been one of our best players all season, Benn on the other hand?
We had a game plan which was to try and pass a way through or around a very disciplined and well organised team, and as usual they were masters of the dark art of shit-housery. The concerning thing for me was that it took too long to realise it wasn't working and then make changes. Unfortunately our changes were in name only, we put wide men on the pitch but they continued with the tactics of coming inside or passing backwards - plan B was no more than plan A with different personnel.
They had 2 up front with men pushing on and beyond them, we the home team had an isolated Reid up front on his own again.
Piss poor performance topped off with Francis red card, anyone know what actually happened?

Feaths has not gone to a zero but he has to take the rap for repeating the same line-up and tactics as the previous game against a much better side, waiting far too long before making the initial substitutions and then seemingly clueless as to how to turn the game around. Agree that too many players were off the pace yesterday and this includes one or two who continually to struggle in this league and need to be loaned out/moved on PDQ. Mols and Sterry are just two examples of several players who have moved on due to the lack of ambition/limited funding over recent years - Feaths can't be held responsible for that!

Who was up for it, none of them were any better than mediocre yesterday apart from the keeper.
Agree Kougun was shocking especially first half, but both Him and John have had more good games than most this season.
Their numbers 8 and 9 will probably cause better defences than ours a few headaches if they stay fit. Whereas our lone (and by line I mean completely isolated) striker hasn't worked all season. We need pace and width and a strike pairing, glaringly obvious to most apart from the manager and coaching staff.

or the whole side looking tired after 20 minutes. even his subs did not work yesterday. they were better than us across the pitch with even campbell having a bit of an off day. not for the first time in recent seasons i have seen pools play like that where it always comes after a full week without a game and not when it might be expected a mid week away match.

Agreed, whole team looked knackered and out of ideas. Also agree on Campbell having an off day, in fact he needs to go to specsavers after that cos his passes were all over the f£#%ing place.

Roll on Brainers but Fev seriously needs to get it together this time cos if he’s guna bend over and ask for it like that again he can FO!
