There is far too much speculation these days. If I was Chancellor my answers would be, I am looking at all the options open to me and you will all have to wait and see. anybody from the Treasury or involved in the preparation who leaked anything or briefed the media would be out on their neck.
This lot, especially Reeves herself has turned it into a farce. Bunch of inexperienced amateurs.

that might be true, but i,m sure in the past that a lot pf speculation about the budget contents have been correct in the media. cannot all be guesswork coming true. its just the present chancellor will never do anything right now as far as the public are concerned and its time for her to go. once you have lost all respect its difficult if not impossible to get it back again.

The eternal pessimist you are PTID also hoping for Labour to fail miserably for your beloved Reform, here is Michael Heseltine take on Farage,

Your point on the exodus of millionaires is clarified here,
The Tax Justice Network’s review – co-published with Patriotic Millionaires UK and Tax Justice UK – of the Henley report finds that the number of millionaires claimed by Henley & Partners to be leaving countries in “exodus” in 2024 represented near-0% of those countries’ millionaire populations.3 For example, the 9500 millionaires widely reported to be leaving the UK in 2024 represented 0.3% of the UK’s 3.06 million millionaires.

For a casual, simple bloke living the life in your tropical abode and a bit careful with cash…you seem to spend a lot of time and effort trying to justify Starmeronics……. Odd for someone who lives on the other side of the world but so concerned about events in the UK.
So whereabouts in the Latin Quarter of the Manor do you really live ……?

I'm never voted Reform Jamie, and I've said constantly they're a disrupter party who will likely be part of the next government. I'd love Labour to be making the country thrive again, or any other party, but Labour policies after nearly 18 months are disastrous in even attempting to do it.
Heseltine doesn't like Farage, wow what a shock that is, nearly fell off the chair reading that. I'd guess most non Reform politicians and probably a fair few Reform too can't stand the man. Partly because he's seen to be a threat to the established 2 party system we currently have.
Why quote some dredged up 2024 figures for the wealthy leaving the UK, it's since Labours first budget in November 2024 they're upping sticks? What's the point of creating wealth and jobs in the UK when Labour want to fleece you with taxes till you die then rob your grave and offspring when you're gone?

I think he does live in foreign climes but has no social life or mates simply because he's pissed them all off and therefore has no one left to bore to death, so to compensate he has to find other victims to persecute and we have drawn the short straw. Then there's the other four.

Oh dear, I've just looked at that review by the Tax Justice Network - the report slates the figures quoted by Henley as "selective, dubious, non-representative". Henley's have in fact been investigated by parliament for dubious practices wrt advising rich people on tax evasion!
Interesting the figures quoted by Jamie are as I said from the last year of the Tory party government. Henley's latest figure which are not hidden away project that 16500 millionaires will have left in 2025, since Labours first budget. That 16500 figure is quoted by various other reports so would appear to be factual.
So Jamie unsurprisingly quotes dodgy selective data to back his argument but ignores any data even if it's from the same source if it blows his argument.

You have Reform views PTID, 2024 was only less than a year ago, yes I can’t stand Farage a one trick pony all he ever talks about is immigration, snake oil salesman.
Some recents news from Clacton, the electorate are far from happy with him, he has only been there 3 times since being elected, no idea why he bought house sorry his girlfriend ‘bought it’,

There's the deflection again, your argument ripped to shreds using your own data sources yet you ignore that and rant on about Reform. You don't know my political views, I myself don't know who I'd vote for if there was a GE next week, on the other hand I suspect you'd be putting the X in the Labour box due to historical inherent bias?
Your news from Clacton is totally irrelevant to how the country is being governed today.
More relevant news is that Labour are cancelling local elections to suit themselves and avoid humiliation. And another Labour MP had the whip removed for voting in favour of his constituents interests rather than toeing the party line over the removal of APR and IHT impacts. Democracy works only if you follow the leader in Starmer's world.

He's been busy making over 2000 fan videos pocketing a cool £140 k according to them bitter losers at LBC.Theres far more important issues going on in the country. Why worry about what a few labour voters in Clacton think?

Farage has probably been seen more in his constituency than Starmer has in his?
Starmer has made nearly 50 overseas trips in 18 months, more than any PM in history, and while the country is going down the pan as he leaves things in the capable hands of his cabinet colleagues Calamity Reeves and Manhunt Lammy.

if voters wanted a candidate to concentrate on local issues they should not have voted for a party leader or PM. when a constutuancy has this situation there should be a second in command for the party to do that work including a possible seat in parliament.

Obviously he is the PM.

I've never stated an affiliation with any party so at least you're finally acknowledging in a roundabout way that you were wrong.

If it’s that grand why are you on here chuntering and finger wagging about finance and politics on a daily basis instead of being the geriatric playboy of the Far East….looking down on those who don’t share your ‘life style’…….I wouldn’t thank you for it…but you seem to think because you like it everyone should like it….I don’t, I quite like the life I have…there’s more to life than eternal sunshine..sitting in the sun like a lizard is my idea of Hell, doubtless you’ll now have palpitations.

Some recents news from Clacton, the electorate are far from happy with him, he has only been there 3 times since being elected, no idea why he bought house sorry his girlfriend ‘bought it’,

Aren't you the one that peddles the idea that Reform only has one view and that is immigration and yet here you are accusing PTID of having Reform ViewS. Tripping yourself up again. One trick pony you called them. Ptid doesn't peddle any party, he does what the rest of sensible people do and that is hold the Government to account and, in this case, The Labour Party. The rest of them hold no sway over Governmental decisions. They will become players when a General Election is called, sooner or later and the sooner the better.

The wife was in another room whilst I had that on, when it finished she walked in and asked who is that foul mouthed nutcase. I said he is a mate of Jamie and Keir Starmer. Ah that explains it came the reply.

You never fail to amuse me Derwent, where do your political views actually lie, I post videos not necessarily because I agree with them, it’s for a bit of banter on the Bunker. If you actually take in what he says he is slagging the Labour Party off, of course you jump in with both feet, just another reason to have a dig at me.

PTID is very good at criticising the Labour Party but he never comes up with any alternatives, there won’t be another G.E. until 2027, why would Labour call one now, it would be disaster for the country even worse than the Truss tenure, don’t pray for what you wish for as Farage has already said The Triple Lock is unsustainable and there will be massive cuts in benefits thats what millionaire/billionaire politicians do just like Trump is doing in The States.

PTID concerns himself with the people responsible for governing the country, whereas you concentrate on a party that has no parliamentary responsibility at all. You are very good at criticising Reform and Farage but what alternative to you recommend. As a left wing zealot you are terrified of Reform being elected into power but fail to accept the reason why Reform are on the up is because the clowns you seem to criticise the least are making a bollocks of the job. If Labour were doing the job satisfactorily there would be no need of an alternative like Reform. :ugeek:
Oh and this lot are in until 2029, but if you can convince your masters to call one in 2027, I will be eternally grateful.

It's beyond my comprehension that people align themselves to any political party for life nowadays. What we probably need more than anything right now would be a coalition government with true patriotic rather than party ideals and priorities. How have we reached a situation where Party is more important than country, and it's accepted?

I agree Mr P. I can safely say that I will never ever again align myself to one party. Not in a million years.

And you are very good at supporting the LabourParty. ( God knows why.)

You got the key words in as usual…Truss, Farage and Trump, as per usual.
But being a Party plant is like that….it’s a nerd’s life in the modern ‘Plant Service’.
