I remember him controlling the game against Notts County away on 28th Dec 1997 I think.
We lost 2-0 but he was the standout player on the pitch.

I personally rate him the best midfielder to ever play for Pools. I saw him at Colchester he set up two goals for a young Steve Howard and dominated the midfield that night.
