Is it me or have Mail deliveries been cut back….we seem to be getting letters in batches of half a dozen just one or two times a week, so much for it getting flogged off to someone in the Czeck Republic.
Why do Governments keep flogging off our assets like barrow boys on the make?

just the same down my way and its been mentioned in our house also.

The GPO mentioned a few months ago that to save money there would be fewer and more condensed deliveries to households.

pity they cannot do the same with emails to save me spending time clearing them unread.

Most post these days is bills and junk mail - are people still checking the doormat every morning out of habit?.

It's the emails you can't unsubscribe from that annoy me, or they make it incredibly difficult to.

My postie told me parcels take priority over mail now regardless of the stamp you use.

bloody hate it when i get a parcel sent by royal mail. know quite well it will not be sent to the house and needs to be picked up from the sorting office in a few days time. if i send the occasional one i,ll use anyone but them.

The NHS still send letters out by snail mail, stories say people receive an appointment date by mail past the date they were supposed to attend.

thats true and they still put you down as missing the appointment when it happens. would help if the hospital you had the appointment for sent one out instead of it coming from the other half of the country somewhere. noticed also that they never date letters now.

Most government departments the DWP, HMRC,NHS etc still send out letters, how much does it cost to print them out put them in envelopes and mail them, wouldn’t it be prudent to add in the letter you can go paperless and any further correspondence to can be by email like banks etc do, unfortunately the food flyers etc can’t be stopped being put through the letterbox.

Some of us receive letters on a number of topics…which cannot be received online such as publications as a sideline of mine……makes reference to 1st and 2nd Class postage rates a joke.
If they’re supposedly offering such a service, provide it….and hire more staff to provide it.

Even the vans are all anonymous white now instead of red….looks cheap.

It was better when it was the General Post Office (GPO) and since it became branded "Royal Mail" its just got worse to a point its now controlled by a Czech.
I wonder how long before Amazon start delivering letters?The infrastructure and rounds are more or less in place.

cannot have that sort of thing happening as it will reduce the profits. we do not want to upset owners and shareholders by requesting a service.

My mate is a postman and he has said for ages they'd been told to prioritise parcels over letters despite public denials from Royal Mail that this wasn't the case.

We recently got our windfall delivery yesterday, eight letters…one from the bank was dated the 6th of November…delivered on the 17th…..
