Like him or not, he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. Not sure what the actual recipient did in terms of peace?

Nobel Peace Prize for what, the war has been halted for the time being but with 10% of the population of Gaza mostly men, women and children killed or injured will Hamas and their supporters just go away and forget about that ? Israel are releasing 2000 terrorists, murders etc, what are they going to do once released onto the streets ?
The terrorist organisations backed by Iran will not rest as they want to wipe Israel of the face of the planet, anyone who has supplied arms to them will also come under scrutiny.
The conflict in the Middle East has been going on for years and returning hostages and releasing prisoners is not going to change anything, it’s a false dawn, not being pessimistic but realistic

Let's see how long peace lasts, as Jamie says trouble in the Middle East has been going on for many years. This will start up again, it's just a matter of time as to when it does!!

Peace prize for bringing to a stop (who knows for how long) to the daily slaughter and deprivation of basic humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Bit of a bigger deal than the achievements of the Venezuelan politician who actually won it imo.

Some people will gag at giving Trump credit….petty really.
As long as the killing stops all is that matters for now.

He couldn’t have won the prize as it was already sorted, but he will qualify for next year.

give em time to relax a little and buy more arms for there next one. only one way to end wars over there is to make religeon a criminal offence with a long prison sentance in the opposite ones nick.

Will Trump still bein power next year his health is deteriorating both physically and mentally, I can’t see the Republicans let him stay on like the Democrats did with Biden.

Even the fragile situation right now is a huge step forward from what was happening only days ago. Maybe both sides will regroup and start again, probability is high. Maybe 2 State solution will help. Interesting that Hamas have said they don't want Tony Blair anywhere near the future governance given his history with the region, and they claim that most Arab states support them on this.
