So basically what Dibble is saying is...... 'I DON'T MIND LAWS, EXCEPT THE ONES THAT MAY APPLY TO ME' ....... You sound like my uncle going on about the breathalyser when that came out ..... "what's the country coming to when a bloke can't have a few drinks and drive his car wothout some facist stopping me ..... I fought a war against people like that...etc etc etc "

Snowy................by your standards a very poor post.
I dont drink and drive, and dont use a mobile phone whilst drving with a can of coke in the other hand.
So, unless I change my ways, what you are saying doesnt apply to me.
If the only people prosecuted are those holding a phone whilst driving:
a. through a busy town centre, or outside schools
or
b. at 90 mph on a motorway, thats fine by me.
You wait though, till the bounders have to get the revenue up.
And those prosecutions include those parked up with the engine running stupid
Those stopped at a major accident, phoning their loved ones to tell them they are ok and will be late stupid
Those changing a CD stupid
etc etc.
It has already been stated that pressure groups are to monitor the success of this new law.
If the police dont get the numbers up they will be accused of paying lip service to the law. As they have with the child seat law, even though its almost impossible to police.
You get the police you deserve..............and you snowy must love ours.
