If he gets the sack as is reputed and get a decent manager, I can see them making a bit of a surge up the table. They do have some decent players and it would be nice to see them go up with us ala 1991 but this time the other way round, I'd quite us to win a trophy for once.

From Sky Sports:

Quote:

Darlington have suspended manager David Hodgson, pending an internal inquiry.

The League Two side held an emergency board meeting on Saturday morning, with speculation over Hodgson's position having intensified in recent weeks following his team's disappointing League Two form.

Hodgson's stock remains high, however, and he has been linked with the vacant manager's job at Bournemouth, but recent reports appear to have concerned the club's hierarchy.

A statement on behalf of the club revealed the inquiry will be led by Quakers chairman George Houghton and will focus on "the performance of the club and the background to open speculation concerning another football club's contact with the manager".

Neil Maddison will take charge of first team affairs in the interim period.

kevin ball is the most 2 faced tit Ive heard, most of last season he defended Mick McCarthy with "Hes doing as well as anyone could with what hes got" Then as soon as he was sacked it was "Well he had to go,his results just werent good enough"
Lets hope if he does get it he finds a place for agnew as well
