Ok so it was great to have Kougan back in the side and with McNally and Lavelle we had three Centre Halves on the pitch. How does that work? Was one of them playing full back? Which of the three was actually in the centre? All contributions gratefully received. :)

I might have this wrong so happy to be corrected but it seemed Lavelle was playing centrally and appeared to be anchoring the defence

Looked like that, McNally seemed to be playing a lot wider right than he usually does too.

Cheers for the reply. Ok So Lavelle in the centre and Kougan and McNally either side of him? So.... no full backs with those two doubling up? I thought Ecclestone was some kind of full back/wing back? Ah well never mind. We got the three points.

Well it was just a typical 3-5-2 formation. McNally left centre half, Lavelle in middle and Koughan on the right. Ecclestone and Clark playing wing backs.

or 5 3 2 as it will be at fylde and boreham. jay benn would be the obvious replacement on the right but he seems to be a missing person at the moment.

I see. Cheers, Richy. Excuse my ignorance. No longer puzzled.

Very easy just move Clark to R/B then either play Ilunga or John at L/B i just hope he doesn't mess around with the midfield by putting Sheron at R/B then we would get Hunter in midfield which really would be a piss take.

Do not mess around with the team for the sake of 1 player

Agree. Leave Sheron where he is, he has been a revelation over recent games. Not sure if Ilunga can defend? Isnt he an out and out winger?

with the players we have available and playing two difficult away games he might have to regarding what the players are comfortable doing. it was simple when benn was available but much more complicated now. cannot see us going all gung ho in either game and it will be a backs to the wall in the hope we nick something. it sounds easy to switch clark to the right but would he be comfortable playing there and its nothing to do with being left or right footed. seen LB before being moved across and they look positionally all at sea.

Campbell Darcy can play right back, but just went back out to Hebburn on loan. Sod's Law in action... He scored a belter for them on Saturday.
