As ever Jamie doesn't answer the question, which poll has Reform trailing in 3rd Jamie?
The latest YouGov polls have them ahead when I asked?

Due to Burnham being more concerned about Ukraine than Britain.
I can see us getting nuke bombed by Russia.

They don't build them for show.

We're the 3rd highest nation in terms of supplying financial aid to Ukraine at around £26bn committed to date since the conflict started - why??
Meanwhile, as we hand over this cash our own people get poorer, and the National Debt increases. Why should we borrow money to give it away FFS!!
Ukraine is not a close neighbour, not in NATO, so why does the UK have to act like Billy Big Bollocks when we can't afford it, and all we're doing is putting ourselves more in Putin's cross hairs?

we have been doing the same since god knows when. we must get involved and be the leaders of something and to hell what it costs us all. like every subject those in favour will say the good will outweigh the cost and it works out each individual will pay£1 a week anyway. thing is these pounds all add up. what with ukraine, foreign aid, green policies, benefit payments how much a week better off would we be if there totals were zero.

I don’t think Burnham has a clue about danger of handing over the plans for long range missiles to Ukraine.
There’s a naivety about his approach.

Have they mentioned a legitimate way of stopping the boats and how they are going to fund raising the tax threshold and make energy bills cheaper considering the energy companies are foreign owned and the U.K. have no control over them.
Wake up KPG tbh I can’t take you seriously, I think you are just baiting, I am waiting for PTID or Sussex coming along, listen to this interview by Nick Ferrari who tied Farage up in knots, Ferrari in the past is known to be right and tickling the tummy of Reform.

Why is Yusef standing in the constituency vacated by Starmer, shows how faith Farage has in him ?

tax thresholds used to go up yearly at one time so if they had not frozen them to get blood out of a stone for the poor and pensioners what would it be now. was never an issue was it. as for energy prices. forget the energy companies for once just remember the green bollox we are all paying for. take that off and there is your decrease. as for the super liners coming in with all the invisable women, children and doctors then change the law or leave an organisation thats stopping it. imagine the yanks accepting this and not just because trump is in charge.

it would be interesting to actually hear from anyone whose life as improved over the last 10 years unless they are a middle class ex university leftie or part of a group that says you can be a woman even if you have a few inches dangling down from your lower regions. we moaned back then so god help us in 10 years time the way things are dropping.

Labour politicians have never ever understood economics and business, they're all about spending other people's money, financial jealousy, and bankrupting the country. So if the politicians themselves can't comprehend then it's fantasy to expect their followers to.
Rises in NMW, taxes, and NI destroy jobs thereby reducing the number of taxpayers and the tax take.
1 million kids out of work because employers can't afford to take them on, business confidence through the floor with more energy price rises coming and more taxes in next months budget.
No doubt it's all Liz Truss's fault though, can't be anything to do with over 2 years of Labour government can it?

Very quick to criticise PTID but you never ever come up with a credible solution, for me there isn’t one, the public are in the hands of whoever owns the energy companies and I will repeat once more no matter how much we drill, drill in the North Sea they are foreign owned, the oil and gas is sold on the world markets. The utilities companies foreign owned as well even our power stations including the Hartlepool one, nought is going to change in the short term in fact not in our lifetimes.

But am I wrong Jamie? When did a Labour government last leave the economy in a better shape than they inherited?
Regardless of what they say they were left, borrowing has increased under this lot, so where has the money gone that they said they'd raise through tax hikes (didn't they say it was a one off)?
As for solutions they're as plain as day, nationalised energy and transport.
Open up drilling in the North Sea to improve global supplies, give government massive tax income, retain jobs which brings in more Income tax from those working in the industry and support industries.
Stop the illegal immigrants.
Stop foreign aid and green aid to foreign countries, retain disaster financial aid only
Build more jails and stop this early release nonsense.
Reduce the benefit bill.
It's really not rocket science, just think where we'd be if the Edison's, Fords, LogiBairds, etc al had had your attitude of it's always like this and nothing can change. Back in the caves FFS.

I am asking you realistically what’s your solution to the woes of the U.K. and how are they going to be funded, your solutions require instant massive funding, there is no money in the pot.
Build more jails how long does it take to build a jail, drill in the North do you actually know how long it takes from drilling, discovery evaluation then to production, years, I know because I worked in the industry most of my life.
How are you going to reduce the benefits and what ones, with out face to face interviews which would take years to do that

Everything's too difficult except raising taxes and robbing pensioners isn't it Jamie?
Wonder how the Norwegians can bring new fields into production quickly. Many new fields can be brought on line reasonable quickly via subsea tie-backs to existing production facilities, an FPSO can be deployed in very quick time.

Norway still have the expertise and the facilities, they never stopped developing new fields, the oil and gas companies cherry picked the U.K. North Sea sector when they had all gone they abandoned it as any new fields were too expensive to develop in the U.K. We had at least half a dozen faculties to build modules for the North Sea, 4 on Teesside all gone along with the expertise and the trades. You’re a bit naive thinking you drill a few wells then plonk a production facility on top of them. Here is AIs answer,
‘Developing a North Sea oil and gas field typically takes 5 to 10 years from the initial licensing round to first production, though simpler tie-backs to existing infrastructure can sometimes be operational within a few years.’

Nothing to do with tax either as the Norwegians tax the oil and gas companies at the same level as the U.K. does.

So you and AI agree with me then tie backs can be up and running in a couple of years?
And believe it or not there's quite a few FPSOs in lay up at the moment awaiting contracts and deployment.
Never mind it's just all so so hard, best just sit on our hands.
Meanwhile it's estimated that over 100,000 jobs in the sector will be lost.

say you are totally correct in your assesment of the situation is just sitting back and doing nothing the answer because of all that. is there any real will from this government and many of its supporters to actually fo that. they,d find the money like all governments seem to do if it was as issue they supported like anything green related or for the benefit of foreigners.

There might be a few FPSOs laid up but you just can’t set sail and position them over wells, they need modernisation to bring up to the standard to suit the type of product, not oil and gas is the same.
No government can force oil and gas companies to drill, drill, there has to be incentives for them, there not concerned about jobs being lost, they are looking at how profitable a project can be.

What can the the government do, develop a couple of oil and gas fields, looking at HS2 I think it would be a bad idea.

Jamie just because you may have spent a few years as a nomadic contracting tradesman in the offshore sector it hardly makes you an expert in the industry.
Licences granted years ago and fields drilled years ago but not developed could be up and running relatively quickly with government approvals and more favourable taxation conditions. Why aren't Great British Energy supporting cleaner than imported home grown oil and gas when they've admitted Oil and Gas will be crucial for our energy needs for decades still?

At the end of the day PTID whilst my knowledge might be limited albeit it extends to the majority of my working life in the oil, gas and petro chemical industry including the conversion of 4 oil tankers to FPSOs from onshore to first oil offshore. What experience do you have in the oil and gas industry, reading your posts nought or watching Discovery TV. Licences can be granted but it doesn’t mean they are going to be developed, it means nought, companies get them but don’t have the funds to develop them and sell them off to the highest bidder who in turn repeat the process.

Actually I was in senior posts onshore and offshore for the last 30 years of my working life. From Supply boats, to rigs, to platforms, and FPSOs. That includes being the most senior offshore person and being Production manager onshore.
I've had OIM experience of multiple FPSO commissioning and hook ups and Compliance and Assurance manager for decommissioning projects. 2 of the new projects were fast tracked and producing oil in 18months and 24 months respectively.
I've been involved in every aspect, from applying for licences, trading of licences with other operators, assessing overseas support companies and awarding mti million pounds contracts.
So, you couldn't be more wrong about my knowledge of the industry, either in the North Sea and Middle East.

How are you going to reduce the benefits and what ones, with out face to face interviews which would take years to do that

The Oil industry pays excellent wages.

Some great policys from Reform today.

Tax Thresholds up to 20k

Ya got to be a bit of a Fuckwitt not to vote that in.

UTR.

Rises in NMW, taxes, and NI destroy jobs thereby reducing the number of taxpayers and the tax take.
1 million kids out of work because employers can't afford to take them on, business confidence through the floor with more energy price rises coming and more taxes in next months budget.
No doubt it's all Liz Truss's fault though, can't be anything to do with over 2 years of Labour government can it?

None of this will register with Jamie i'm afraid....

Farage only looks after his millionaire mates, his biggest mistake was to allow the ex Tories to join Reform but he had to boost the number of Reform MPs, they failed in the Tory government and will probably lose their seats come an election. I don’t see a surge of other Tories rushing to join Reform,in fact many of the Reform councillors who were recently elected have left Reform, gone Independent, sacked or suspended or just quit.
Yusef is not standing in the vacant seat created by Starmers resignation, its odds on The Greens will win it.

Yep certainly sweaty here unusual for this time of the year but I don’t sit in sweaty bars, in fact I don’t go to any bars here, not my forte, the last time I was in a bar was in April in Hartlepool.
Time to turn the AC up as the sun is starting to get higher in the sky.

Anutha 600 immos crossed the channel yesterday.
But the 140 arriving at Portsmouth dident get the usual heroes welcome.

Looks like the south coasters have finally woken up to this catastrophe.

Labour will claim to get the numbers down in December to February.
Nothing to do with the nature of Winter.

Meanwhile they keep streaming into the epicentre of Hartlepool for fun.

really do anybody know exactly how many are arriving. now they are moving down the coast to portsmouth and how many have arrived undetected. onr thing labour are correct about is that there are less boats as the women and children are all coming on much bigger boats. duplicate vehicles are not needed anymore and the service dinghy can take em all.

Interesting that government politicians are calling the protest in Portsmouthfar right and thuggish" whereas the Police Commissioner has said the majority of protesters were peaceful.
Politicians condemning the vast resources required to address the protests but no mention of the greater resources required to escort, land, transport, process, feed and accommodate these illegals.

Authorities must want these illegals in our country.

Well done the people of Portsmouth who protested.

We cannot allow invaders just to land on our shores, provide them with clothes and food, then set them free in our towns.

SEND THEM BACK!
