They can easily be stopped in the channel if any politician has the balls.

And Rwanda was having an effect without it ever being allowed to get off the ground with many not stopping on the mainland but moving on to Ireland. So the deterrent was there.
Why wouldn't Rwanda work when Albania works for Italy, and offshore processing has been hugely successful for Australia, and it's highly likely that Germany is going to use Rwanda?
Nightingale hospitals were thrown up in weeks so basic internment camps would be a doddle.
We don't need to be in the EU to set our own similar laws, in fact we should be able to do it quicker.
There are virtually no real reasons why stopping the boats can't be done, it's only lack of courage by our politicians to act appropriately which is preventing it.
Starmer's smash the gangs promises were blatant lies, pretty much par for the course for the man who does feck all but lie or fillibuster.

We paying a fortune in tax for Border Force to give them lot a hero's welcome then a free life.

Then they kill us.

Worst thing about the whole scenario is the English English who think it's OK and scream far racist bullshit.

It's almost beyond repair now as we got anutha 3 years left of this invitational disgrace.

Don't know how this joke government can promote Rememberance Sunday.
Our soldiers didn't die for it to end up like this.

The Nightingale Hospitals were built inside Convention/Exhibition Centres, Campus’s etc, they weren’t new builds, big difference from a new building. Ok we knock a few up wherever, how are we going to maintain them even down to providing meals, laundry services etc, we can’t even staff our prisons !
England is experiencing a severe and ongoing shortage of prison officers, with workforce numbers continuing to decline. Despite continuous recruitment campaigns by the Ministry of Justice, more experienced officers are leaving the service than new recruits are joining.

How are we going to stop them, use the navy ?
The Royal Navy currently has 63 commissioned ships (including submarines), plus 9 support ships in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA). However, only around two dozen of these are actual combat-ready warships available for immediate deployment at any given time, as many vessels are sidelined due to maintenance, refits, or personnel shortages

seems now being a racist is the worst thing you can be accused of. soon a murdering paedo will get a lower sentance because he can prove he is not racist. when the middfle class ex university lefties take over and bin common sense we are bound to be in trouble. not just trouble for us but for many immegrants who have been here for year son end and work to contribute more than many of white brits have done. they,ll be caught up with the rest if or when things really kick off. just thinking about the norman conquest and never heard of ango saxons having banners, all normans welcome here.

Highest unemployment figures amongst the young for many years and Labour are offering £5000 per overseas hire to companies, they really do hate their own people.

So I'll ask again Jamie, why does Albania work for Italy, and offshore processing for Australia work for them but a similar scheme like Rwanda wouldn't for us? Why are Germany considering Rwanda when according to you it can't work?
Straight answers will suffice.

And there's loads of military accomodation mothballed at the moment which could easily and quickly be used as detention centres, as could the barges like the Bibby Stockholm.
The problem is only insurmountable if people want it to be. We were once a nation of invention and innovation, now we're a nation led by by wet apologists of all parties apart from Reform who at least seem to be listening and prepared to act.

there needs to be some will from those in charge to do things like that. the majority of the general public has but for some unknown reason the majority sitting in parliament have not. they cannot all be stupid and not just starmer either. whats in it for them and those who think the same way and there end goal.

Unfortunately the young unemployed people is partly due to companies not employing apprentices in the volume they used to. No point sending them to Tech College when there is no job at the end of their course.i

Governments have been down the road of mothballed camps but as soon as you mention it the locals come out in force and it never happens. The locals MP and councillors are going to back their constituents as they don’t want to be out of a job.
Bibby Stockholm after costing millions deemed unsafe due to Health and Safety issues and local protests, strange as it was deemed safe to house oil and gas workers in the Orkney Islands housing workers working on a gas plant.
I have lived on many offshore accommodations, some 2 to a room or 4 with en suite shower and lounges, most can accommodate up to 500 people, downside very claustrophobic. Can you suggest how they are going to police 500 mostly young virile men per vessel.
My suggestion is find suitable accommodation in the constituencies of the current Reform MPs and Councils under Reform control, they can’t complain can they ?

So Jamie's straight answer to a question is a question?
I've already said why the offshore processing doesn't work, that's because our politicians have the nous or the balls to make it work. That doesn't mean they won't or couldn't work though.
The constituents wouldn't be any more inconvenienced if the ex military complexes were made secure with fences and security guards, it'd be just the same as having a prison within a constituency - houses around Frank land in Durham are pretty expensive and the locals aren't living in fear.
So absolutely zero practical reasons.
I'd make a far better fist of things as PM than your bff Starmer or any of the Labour MPs would btw.

Maybe you should talk to the residents of Crowborough,Sussex about your claims, where local MP's and councillors got nowhere with complaints from residents about 500 illegals being housed in a training camp nearby..

There's a massive difference between housing people as they're processed rather than detaining them.
I'd have no problem with hundreds of them being securely detained near me but I'd be seriously concerned at a few dozen or so being housed near me when we have no idea who they are, and most importantly if they're dangerous.
Meanwhile we hear more and more tales of atrocities being carried out by asylum seekers while our politicians spout the same almighty shite about dealing with the problem as they hand over millions of pounds so the French police can safely escort them into their boats and point them towards Blighty.

Of course the Reform authorities can complain if they're placed in their constituencies, they don't want them here at all, and neither do the vast majority of people who are seeing their standard of living falling through the floor, the increasing scarcity of medical appointments, insufficient infrastructures, and closing down of British culture and traditions in the name of what, it's not integration?

Companies want ‘ready made’ workers not young kids who are not producing, you can’t expect them from day one to be competent Electricians, Plumbers, Joiners, Bricklayers etc.

They are not detained, they can come go as they please so are still able to wander around, I believe 300/400 currently are housed to increase to over 500 all single men.
The local council discovered court documents indicating the Home Office has the option to keep the camp open until 2030, contradicting initial assurances that the site would be a temporary 12-month facility. Additionally, the High Court granted a judicial review sought by local campaigns regarding planning and environmental compliance

So the asylum seekers are to blame for everything you mention then ?
Asylum seekers and recognized refugees make up less than 1% of the UK's total population. To put this in perspective, there are around 14 asylum applications per every 10,000 people in the UK, which ranks well below the European Union average.

Of course asylum seekers aren't to blame for everything but they are certainly not contributing in a positive way. From what's widely reported in the media they are certainly responsible for more than a proportionate share of violent crimes though. And it's indisputable that public services are already overwhelmed without any more uncontrolled and unwelcome arrivals.
Anyone who arrives illegally and without documentation should be locked up until we establish who they are and wether they're a threat to public safety, as they are in many other countries. Just plain common sense.

so residents of this country just nee to suck it up. Percentages as usual are used to make things look bigger or smaller. feel your 1% is below the real mark and 2% might be the closer figure. not bothered how many are in some euro countries, i want us to follow poland in there attitude to them. the situation is similar to building a new manchester but asking its reidents to use the srvices of all the towns nearby. wait till there women eventually arrive as they will because very few will be deported. in 12 months that percentage will be larger and carry on getting larger.

So the asylum seekers are to blame for everything you mention then ?
Asylum seekers and recognized refugees make up less than 1% of the UK's total population. To put this in perspective, there are around 14 asylum applications per every 10,000 people in the UK, which ranks well below the European Union average.

so residents of this country just nee to suck it up.

Therefore we need to build a detention camp the size of Manchester ?

Illegal ‘asylum’ seekers are illegal.
It doesn’t affect you….. so none of your business.
You talk like a Brussels clerk, detached from reality.

Of course it effects me, I pay U.K. Income Tax therefore i have the right to have an opinion although I am not a burden on the state as I don’t live in the U.K. currently. I self fund my own healthcare including buying my medication here.

Start detaining them and they'll stop coming, as they did when Rwanda was on the table and they quickly scattered across the Irish Sea, so no you wouldn't need a detention camp the size of Manchester.
I guess that Jamie's answer is to just let them keep coming, let them continue wandering the streets and terrorising communities, whilst draining our precious tax revenues and over-burdening our public and health services, says the man who doesn't even live in this country.

You are quick to criticise Snowy but never come with a viable answer, for me ther isn’t they are here and most of will be granted asylum whether you like it or not.

Quick to criticise incompetents.
You are a defeatist and happy to dance to your masters tune.

Not my job to stop em…..political gobshites all claim they can fix it …but are as wet as clarts…and fail.
Greece and the Eastern European countries can manage it but we offer them the golden temptation as the French say….and our stuttering ‘politicians’ fail to see the bleedin obvious….just like you.
What time each morning do your Party handlers give you your script for your sermon…?

Spot on, other countries can do what we can't.
Yes, most of the ones already here will probably be allowed to stay but that doesn't mean we shouldn't shut the gate right now. The country is being invaded by stealth while Emperor Starmer fiddles (in every sense of the word).

Would Burnham keep the same cabinet?...Very funny,Jamie. :) Is it 6 ministers that have quit in the past month now?..What Labour front bench would that be?

Unfortunately the young unemployed people is partly due to companies not employing apprentices in the volume they used to. No point sending them to Tech College when there is no job at the end of their course.i

Oh well that's what is causing the issue, can't be that the government are making it more expensive to hire youngsters now, no deffo not that. How silly of me.

Making it more expensive, they deserve a living wage, you sound like Rees Mogg who would have the kids sweeping chimneys again.

Wouldn't have them sweeping the chimneys but some of them need a reality check when it comes to doing what's classed as menial jobs. Btw who said they didn't deserve a living wage?

Companies want ‘ready made’ workers not young kids who are not producing, you can’t expect them from day one to be competent Electricians, Plumbers, Joiners, Bricklayers etc.

No shit Sherlock  , you working for the "Brains Trust"?

You don’t understand do you….you are the loyal party hack…you scream your loyalty from the rooftops….I have approved or backed no Party and you know it..
I just mistrust the politicians of the present day…all Uni boys and girls who’ve never broke sweat or struggled in their lives with a sprinkling of ‘working glass’ pet glove puppets thrown in to pretend the ‘Party’s’ care…they’re all gobshites on quick sand, pissing into the wind in their faces with a diminishing base of gullible trolls to back them.
Wake up if you’re a real socialist.

This just shows the lack of capability in the Labour ranks in Parliament…there are some good candidates, but humouring the woodentops on the back benches means the windbags, gobshites and fantasists are centre stage and the real talent kept in the shadows…the recently resigned defence minister being a prime example of a decent politician with a brain who has no chance of achieving the top job because the muppets on the back benches respond to windbags.

Snowy you don’t need to lecture me about today’s politicians, I am well aware the majority are career politicians and noughts going to change unfortunately ever. Before the UKs industrial and manufacturing industries were decimated they were the ‘breeding’ ground for left leaning politicians not all in a good way some too far left though but at least there was a proper opposition party. Today we have centralised parties along with the new far right parties like Reform, Restore and Reclaim. Will Burnham make a difference, I doubt it as it’s the same university educated career politicians, rinse and repeat.

And that's exactly the reason for the rise of Reform. They're not like the others and they're looking likely to be a significant player in the next government either winning a majority or as part of a coalition.

it ill not be labour or the tories that will stop them its the other right wing parties like reclaim who will end up splitting the vote. bound to happen in makerfield and hope they take notice of that fact.
