Who would we like to sign?
We need a keeper, Dorkings POTY Harrison Foulkes is out of contract, might be worth a shout.
Danny Ormerod at Fylde might be worth looking at, Chris Beech signed him there. A goal scorer is on our shopping list.
Just thinking out loud...

Wish lists are for the fairy’s….people always do it and put some effort into it, a bit like a pleasant half hour dreaming what you’d do with a big lottery win.
But it never turns out like you expect, that’s the part I love about it.

Today's Footballers are the worst in the history of the game at all levels.
Pretty much a level playing field especially in the non league scene.

But a good team spirit should never be underestimated.

We get what we get.

But expect the task to improve.

individually they must be better higher up the pyramid so i,d guess you are right about team spirit and proving never say die rather that just spouting it. half of anstey and half of gainsborough combined would crash and burn in our league but managed to beat us.

Callum Roberts out of contract at Scunthorpe in June. He is from the North east and scored 19 goals in the National league this season.

Zack Johnson centre half currently at Sunderland. Was loaned out to York last season and done very well. We have 2 very good centre halves currently so Johnson would give us decent competition/squad depth. He was on loan here 3 years ago when he was 18 and you could see he had a lot of potential.

I'd love Callum Roberts here, closer to home for him and by all accounts we'll have a decent enough budget to tempt him.

Like Kev- would hope we have 2 in by the end of this week.
Though whoever that maybe must be better than what we've just got shot of.

Surely we must have an update on the 3 players offered terms relatively soon.
I'd give them until the end of the month to Sign up, or fuck off!

It’s nice to window shop for certain players, but I’m waiting for the names to start appearing.

Morecambe had 2 really good players against us in March.
Maybe they are available.
Maybe go for the best under 30s players available.

Deffo no old crocks who get paid for being on the sick.
Walker etc.

Jeff had Clark on Talksport this morning. Straight out of the book of manager speak, he confirmed a " competetive budget'. Stopped short of confirming who would be responsible for recruitment though.

Managers have a collection of books for pre match comments, post match for a defeat, for a draw and for a win, I remember Hartleys first interview with Young, we like our teams to play attacking high tempo football unfortunately he signed players who weren’t up to it.

TBH I very rarely listen, Challinors used to last 20 minutes.

Andy Cook leaving Bradford. 35 year old but still had a decent season on loan? The Cook we should have signed when we got Callum!

Still worth a punt on cook as long as he has plenty of pace around him.

Bradford have also released Neill Byrne and Clarke Odour, Byrnes been playing at Donny on loan from the bantams, 33 now but I always thought he was decent.

Wasn't Byrne another one who couldn't bear to be in the region ( or was it his missus ) ?

Clarky said he wants his teams to be very fit and play with a high press. With that in mind I don’t think we will be signing any too many has-beens, they won’t have the legs.

It might have been Jordan Cook, he was injured most of the time he was here.

Now lets see some action even for now it is news of the trio of players resigning. Do not hang around too long and miss out on the better pickings as has been done in the past.

Hope we're one of the clubs in the hunt for Jack Nolan. It's obvious he's not going to stay with Morecambe for a season in the NLN

Clarky said he wants all 3.
I can't understand while they are dithering.

I got told it is a pay cut thing.
Probably best they don't re-sign.

The perfect recipe for the older players to lack 100% effort.

I don't mind him shooting - just would prefer it, if he could hit the target more often!

Read on the SARFend board that Gus Scott- Morris is out of contract, and they're worried he'll leave- given they've just axed their manager and backroom staff.
He was their joint top scorer with 17 goals from Wing back!
One of their fans mentioned us as a possible destination as his missus is apparently from over Manchester way.
Would happily take him- you never know we signed Hayes from them- though knowing our luck Carlisle will be in for him!

I doubt we could meet his wage demands and anyway, i suspect he will be looking for a FL club, he is certainly good enough and probably at the age (29) when he needs to do it or forever be a none leager. If York are looking to strenghten, he would be a great signing especially if he wants to come North.

Andrew Dallas has just been released by Barnsley. Last season he scored 17 goals in 43 games during a productive loan spell with Southend United. He is from Scotland and 26 years old.

I feelif we now have both Chris Beech and Bromby and partners on the case with a higher budget than previous years we should not have problems attracting better players. Also we should be able to get better players in the academy. I can not remember the last homegrown youngster to get in the team regularly and the sold on to a higher level team like they did with Don Hutchinson
