Harrogate score in the 99th minute to scrape a win and keep away their hopes of a visit from us next season, 2 points between the bottom 5 and Barrow v Newport last game of the season. Karma if Newport relegated but could be Tranmere yet.

South Shields surrender top spot to Fylde by drawing at home to lowly Bedford and Darlo drop out of the playoffs by conceding in the 95th minute at Telford to draw, after missing 2 penalties. Spenny just fall short.

Harrogate have made a habit of beating the drop at the last minute in recent seasons. Be nice if they finally blew it this year.

MannyD scored Rochdales winner in 99th minute. When only 7 minutes on the board.

Some York fans claiming a scam for the last days TV rights.

What was Pools attendance yesterday?!

Think the announcer said 3,200. That probably included all season ticket holders.

Our home attendances have been pretty good this season especially as a lot of the home performances have been dire. We usually have a couple of sub 3k crowds but not this season, the fans have stayed loyal.

shows what they could be if the team on the pitch was playing more possitive football and the younger fans had a marquee signing that they have heard of.

I read somewhere - probably the Northern Echo - that the Darlo have already started firming up arrangements for the Play-off fixtures?

Well if Hebburn win on Saturday they only 1 division behind us.

How crazy us that.

And Stockton still in with a good chance of the play-offs.
Hope they have learned from last seasons fuck up we're they cudent play the final for a suspended player carry on.

Well done to Stockton who had to survive 36 mins of injury time to qualify for the play offs.

That must be a new record.

FC Hartlepool equalised I the 22nd minute of injury time then got beat on penalties.

Add in the carry on at Rochdale n what a strange day.

Well done Hebburn.
A village team only 1 division behind us.

Mickey Barron on Tees during the last week said
That Bromby will probably have a 3 year plan to get back to the EFL.

Is that acceptable?
I'm gunna show a tad of unambition and say yes as long as these next 2 seasons we get unlucky in the play-offs.

Be interesting to hear/see what other Poolies think about that.

finishing this season only two places off the play offs with one of the most boring sides ever to grace the vic i, say anything over 2 years to get the hell out of non league football is more than being cautious or unambitious. could be the last straw for some fans if our only improvement is 8th position.

The 3 year plan seems reasonable to be fair, York took 2 years of big investment and ruthless culling of a decent but underperforming manager to do it.
Rochdale have I believe a 5 year plan to get back into EFL and put the club sustainably in the ownership of the fans.
Southend seem to be on an upward path after a long period of turmoil.
The key thing for most fans imo is seeing continuous improvement and if that means 6th or 7th place for us next season I'd take that right now.

Darlo blew it, losing at home to Oxford City, Shields blew the title but are favourites to win the playoffs which Scarborough scraped into. Harrogate look like the great escape is on, whereas Barrow will probably be playing us next season now. Newport clinging to survival.

A bit of corruption refereeing in the 94rh minute of Coventry v Wrexham today.

Coventry player scores then kicks the ball into the crowd.
Not given a yellow card which is the law of the game.

Ya should of just redeveloped Feethams. The Arena novelty sharp wore off.
Plus your support these days is pathetic.
2300 less than the mighty HUFC for 1 division.
And sounds like your current owner has had enough.

But good luck for the future and enjoy them new Derbies with Hebburn.

as poolies we should be grateful that they never developed Feethams and built the arena. they could be looking down on us and taking the piss after finishing 9th in the EFL division 2.

Wasn't just the building of the arena that screwed them, the council forbade just about all non football events whilst Gorgeous George was the main man. They could and should have backed their football club rather than putting obstacles in their way after every step.

I was reading an old match report from the NE over the weekend. We had just outclassed the Darlo 3-0 at their spanking new Arena to take us top of the league, 22 games unbeaten. We can only dream of such exploits - unless Landon and his team actually do take us back to those glorious years.

This league is just so difficult to get out of and it won't be any easier next season. The failed play off teams are all likely to be up there again and strengthening, Tamworth are about to be taken over by US owners who are talking about big investment. And no doubt there'll be a dark horse from the promoted teams with the parachute funded relegation teams too.

The problem is the two teams up…it’s a bloody bottleneck… should be three up, two automatic and one from the play offs.
Mind you, those M25 Teams with the crowd the size of a fish shop queue, for some reason, really piss me off

It's only difficult if you finish below 7th.
And we know from last time with a combination of 100%effort galvanised my a decent Manager and a tad of luck the so called promised land is available.

Just finish anywhere above 8th.

I think every Pools fan will tell you we have to move on, Kev. If we don't we're stuck here for good. We are totally in the hands of the owner, like always and the present owner is the current person in charge of doing that, so it's over to him.
Onwards and preferably upwards if you please, Mr Smith. Ta.
I think if you and me were asked by Mr Smith to suggest the way forward we would have at least matched Bromby's basic advice and maybe even bettered it LOL.
That conversation has been done to death on here.
Raj promised to keep us ticking over until a new owner was found and that happened. Now the new owner has expressed a target of a return to the EFL, that happening is the definition of moving on. Not one Poolie on this planet will say no to that scenario. Not one.

there are still questions to ask that we,ll only find the answers in the future. is LS a man to play a long game and retain interest pr someone who might get fed up with his new toy if he finds out things are not going as he wants. quicker something positive happens the better before we start to think about problems that might occur in the future.

agree. how buxton lost that game is beyond me. woodwork hit, balls cleared off the line and what looked a legitimate goal chalked off. usrf up there luck for half a dozen games never mind one. actually thought shields might have been much better than they were.

what did you do in that 2 hours. years ago i arranged a date with a national express rapide hostess who lived there. was not far to drive but she being a woman was a hour late. longest hour in my life and i never repeated it again. that actually put me off visiting the severn valley railway.

Not a lot, as the main thing of interest seems to be watching the traffic lights change.

I'm pleased Salford missed out on the automatic places, as I was Wrexham too in the Championship, both of course could still go up but less likely now.

Never got my head round the minister of sport gifting Wrexham £18 million towards their ground last year when money would have been better spent at darlo .....Ah well, tough shit , never mind, maybe next year!!

C,mon Kiddy

Seconded!

I remember years ago, went to Kiddy (circa 2005) and we drew 2-2. We nicked a last minute equaliser despite being battered by them for most of the second half. However the highlight of that day was the Shepard's Pie that I bought from the kiosk- was outstanding - and the only time I've seen that on sale in a football ground.
