Really, Yes i know what he meant.

If NF took a look at our W D L columns, He would see/realise that draws have cost us dearly this season.
With a bit more ambition on the pitch, We would sit comfortably in a POff spot, After all he has stated we have a good defence.

Lets see if the penny drops.

Grayson P14 W4 D6 L4 Pts18 Draw Ratio 42.9%

According to my predictor, Grayson underachieved by 2 points after 14 games

Featherstone P27 W12 D7 L8 Pts43 Draw Ratio 25.9%

And on the other hand, Featherstone so far has overachieved by 4 points.

Overall P41 W16 D13 L12 Pts61 Draw Ratio 31.7%

Saying that my predictor has always had Pools just outside the play offs right from the start of the season and Pools have been expected to get around 67 points in total give or take a couple of points either way ever since.

The team is currently not good enough to challenge for a top spot, let alone a play off spot!

For a team to challenge at the top, they need to overachieve away from home, something that Pools have done to a degree.
Unfortunately our home record is our downfall this year, very poor indeed for a team that had plans for the play offs.

And that has to go down to the tactics employed at home, simply not good enough!
Featherstone has had plenty of chances at setting the team up at home against teams who come here to defend and we were expected to win.
He has failed in that department.

So it not just down to a matter of too many draws (Featherstone's records is not too bad), but the inability to score at home and collect the valuable 3 points.

Investment is needed in a midfield that can create a decent number of chances and of course a striker or two who can convert more than he misses!
And of course employ the right tactics at home!!!!

Over to you Landon...!

If Pools can win a game, Feaths is delighted. If Pools draw he is happy, if Pools hammered 4-0, 7-0, or 0-3 at home he never sees it coming. We need a competant manager if we are ever to get back to the FL

We’re all just hanging around waiting for ‘developments’…..sometimes I fear they might not come.

Our future is fully onto Smithys decisions now.

Luckily for him it's a relatively easy fix.

Suppose it depends on how much he wants to be a winner.

Because if it doesn't change for the better next season then it never will.

He's got to deliver sharpish to get them ST sales going.

To be continued :::

Agree with the above, But ask yourself 1 question.

Do you/we think he will change his mindset.

Well If we assume he'll be manager next season (no reason to think otherwise at the current time- regardless of individual opinion about his perceived shortcomings) at least he'll have no excuses as the team/ squad will have been reshaped, modelled by him and Bromby.

Be interesting to see if Monks, Rusty Lee, Leonard and Pearson are axed anytime soon. (Ideally before the retained list is published) Then we will have a clearer picture of who is actually running the show.
Please Landon, if you're reading this- get rid of these clowns who have dragged us through the mire, under the previous regime, and still appear to be robbing a wage from you and the club.

If it's felt that Fev has failed his audition then for me his obvious replacement is Darrell 'Trigger' Clarke-
available, club record signing and proven track record in management at this level and the one above.

Good stats Stocky - I do enjoy your spreadsheet and you have been proven right with your ongoing analysis.
I agreed with your prediction of just missing out on the playoffs before a ball was kicked- though take little pleasure in being proven right.

Here's hoping Pools can get their shit together over the summer, for a chart busting run away first league title, come what (next) May, and let the playoffs- sort themselves out without us having to stress about them!

but is it an easy fix. somehow i do not think so. even the magic bullet of a decent new manager with a bit of money to spend might not be the answer we are looking for. sometimes success just appears by accident with every piece of the jigsaw dropping into place.

If Scunthorpe n Borehamwood can comfortably qualify for the play offs then it's not a big ask is it.

We've missed out because the Chairman Manager n Players didn't want it enough.

Just maybe the takeover wasent as clean as radio Tees reported and we are hindered to Radgy for the next 10 years via payments.

Radio Tees read this place so maybe they could confirm the takeover on 1 of there 6to7pm shows!

and if they fail they will be in the same boat as us. the fans deserve another crack at league football but does the club after cocking it up big style and wasting a promotion. thats the problem. Pools do not deserve there fans and need to put a big effort in to pay them back.

When Landon took over, I posted on here what appeared to still be owed to Raj:

https://find-and-update.company-informa ... 91/charges

Having a look today, it still appears that there are 3 outstanding debts still to be paid.

One is to the English Sports Council for the money loaned during Covid.
The other two are to Clarence 18 Limited owned by Raj.

So from my understanding HUFC still owe Raj.

Kevin we/could/should have made it into the top 7, But you have to be braver as a manager.
I,m certain 99% of supporters would have said well done if NF had gone for it and failed
Rather than what we have had to endure.

People may think i dislike NF but i don,t, Liked him as a player (in his prime)

Have faith Snowy

It will take time /patience for Bromby to assess and report their findings which should make interesting reading for LS.
And remember he is not paying them to ignore them, They are football people with a reputation to build upon.

Kevin neither you/me or anyone would have thrown money at it in January.
We are no where near Lge 2 standard.
If anyone is expecting a quick fix then forget it, But i do expect significant progress shortly.

lets say if a small amount of money had been thrown at it in january the club would have been in a better place to sell its season tickets with fans being told that at least they gave it a go. if raj can sell a season ticket i,m sure the new regime can but needs to do better.

We fans continue to be mushroomed. Whoever has owned the HUFC club in my experience - ie over the past 50+ years- despite regular promises of an open and honest philosophy being established we have continued to be poorly informed - and then on a 'need to know' basis. I appreciate that there will likely be nothing to know at present but is it really expecting too much for LS to provide an update of sorts for the fans with the season now realistically and effectively over?

Looks like Stocksfield_Poolie has confirmed what I thought.
Seems like we still in a shit load of debt hence the majority non upgrade signings since January.

We expect progress But will it happen.
Faith n Hope from us = nothing we all over tried that method since relegation.

We just wait n see now.

Things might become clearer when the accounts are released.
But that will only cover up to July 2025 and they are due 30th April 2026 for Clarence 18 Ltd.
At least we may know what HUFC owed to Raj at the end of July 2025.
What happened when the takeover was completed, we may have to wait...

I think that by now LS will have noted the mood change from the fans. He has to decide what and how he his going to communicate to us. All we can do is wait and see but any fan will tell him that season ticket sales will depend on expectations so, if ST sales are important to him, no reason why they won't be, he needs to realise that the numbers tally will be massively affected by what he says and what he does here on in.
Every move he makes, every word he speaks and every player we sign will be analysed up to next season's ST dead line, starting with the full time appointment of the manager.
Any gaps in action, information and declaration of intent will be filled by rumours, even made up stories etc. It has happened before and will happen again, cos that's what fans do.
The one thing we have to do is try our best no to antagonise each other, not fall out with each other and do our level best not to allow division to fragment our ranks, as has happened in the past.

But is’s not as good as a win to most people, it’s a draw…one point…and that’s all that matters in this game….points mean prizes, no one gets promoted on moral victory’s..,that’s for the fairy’s.

Considering a win would still have kept us in with an outside chance, it's actually as good as a loss. A win would have been valuable, a loss wouldn't have mattered. Just more spin to cover up his own failings.

Scunny been leaking goals for fun all year even Boston put 6 past them on home soil.

But Fevs decides not to bother their shit defence for 89 minutes.

Still can't believe he's still here so maybe my source about the leakage of him still being here next season is bang on however much the majority of us want him rid.

Featherstone was determined to secure a result at Scunny - i.e. basically not lose - to prove that the Wealdstone fiasco was 'a fluke result' as he described it. As far as I can see he's become almost as big a millstone around the clubs neck as Raj Singh was. Feaths continuing presence IS resulting in fans antagonising each other at a time when we should be pulling together ahead of the summer break and the build up to next season.

Antagonising….hmmmmm…more like the ‘Wishing on a star’ faction full of overflowing hope against the odds…..and the ….’Has this pilot actually flown a plane before’ faction who are voicing their doubts.

For me, Fev has got a handful of games to show he's not a 1 trick pony, and to advertise why it's worth investing in a ST.
If he does neither I really think the club will struggle to sell them, unless there's a really daft promotional we had in the £100 a ticket season.

The 'Wishing on a Star' faction not unnaturally emerged after the LS takeover.OK so he didn't actually make hard and fast commitments or promises but he referenced 'taking the club back to where it belongs' on several occasions which was enough for most of us to start believing. Its not beyond acceptability to at least see some green shoots of progress after almost four months since the takeover. Its likely that we would have ended up in the current position regardless of who was steering the ship. It could also be construed that neither the pilot nor the co-pilot have actually flown a plane before.

The one thing we have to do is try our best no to antagonise each other, not fall out with each other and do our level best not to allow division to fragment our ranks, as has happened in the past.

still think its a case where the majority wanted singh out so much they,d have accepted anybody and give them an easy few months of a ride. then why buy a football club thousands of miles from home just to watch it stagnate. nothing seems to make sense now where pools are concerned.

Take York as an example, spent a lot on players last season and missed out. Spent even more on players in the summer and had a decent but not brilliant start to this season, acted early and changed the manager and started to fly.
Just shows you can have what appears to be a great squad but if the manager can't get the very best out of them you'll always under-achieve. Is Fev getting the best out of our lot?

Reckon Fevs lacks discipline and just can't adjust to being one of the lads to team manager.
Bit of a holiday camp we're the players just do the bare minimum for their wages which is unacceptable in the Football Industry.

Can't believe he's still here so looking like he's starting next season on a new contract.

its far too easy to say things like that against him when nobody as any evidance of that being true. would much have hanged no matter who took over from grayson with the same players and recruitment in line with those who have left. you could say that the players seem to perform when they want to but that could be the reason they play at this standard and shock results coming weekly at this level.

Come off it - that's a rubbish analogy. We started the season with a good defence and a bang average midfield and attack. Pools haven't spent a fraction of the money York's owners have invested in their squad over the last 2 seasons.

And Raj did 'act early' to get rid of Grayson - after 1 win in 12 games. Is the current group of players 'under-achieving' or just nothing like good enough to be a promotion contending squad? The table tells us Pools are nowt more than one of the' best of the rest' in a very poor division.

Most Poolies wouldn't keep more than 5 or 6 of the current players for next season - as the 'Retained List' thread showed. We've got no chance of promotion next season unless LS comes up with some serious investment this summer - whoever the manager is.

It’s all down to managers, get the right manager and the rest falls into place…we haven’t.
Gateshead on death’s door, cue return of the prodigal manager and they’re on fire….that’s the pivot that makes things happen….no matter how good your players are if they’re badly managed…I’m prepared to admit that most of our squad under the right manager would do well.
