Joined Spennymoor on loan for the rest of the season.

Stevo hasn't featured at all for Pools this season in the National League - not even on the bench! He played in the first team in the FA Trophy game against Anstey Nomads. I didn't go to that one but was he really the worst player on the pitch?

Stevo's contract with us runs out this summer but he's still only 20 - plenty of time to get his career back on track. Just not with Pools it seems

Yep he will be gone at the end of the season although it could be interesting who is going to put the retained list together ?

He was on loan at Buxton most of the early season until Christmas.

After the Trophy fiasco he went to Morpeth on loan. I suppose Spennymoor a system up from Morpeth grade wise and obviously knows the manager.

One mistake when he was getting a few games and disappeared from view.

Nah he was horrendous last time he had a spell of appearances. He was decent previously for a youngster but looked like he'd regressed, or maybe had his talent coached out of him.

His positional sense was all over the place when Limbrick tried him out as a centre back at the end of last season - but that was a stupid idea.

Pools can be a toxic place to play at times, I had high hopes for him but it seems it’s not going to happen, I wish the lad well he always gave his all.

Don't think he got too hard a time from the fans, he looked very promising when he first broke into the team but not so good in his next season appearances. He's still got time on his side wherever his future lies.

NF stated in his latest interview that Stephenson is well liked at the club, and was going to Spenny for his development.

I think thats crap me self.
We have only pride to play for now, So why not let him play some games for his parent club.

I suspect he's probably playing for a contract with Spennymoor.

Some young players show great promise then fall by the way…remember Cloughie being interviewed on the subject and talented kids get burn outadter starting in the game so young or they have a level that they can’t pass…but it seems odd…or is it..?

Year's ago Gordon Strachan talked about not being able to motivate youngsters once they got their 1st pro contracts. Too many thought they'd made it, we're getting more money than they could spend, and we're being fairly well pampered. How to you get those taking their foot off the gas to progress when they think they're set for life? Even at our level Body and Don Hutchison almost blew their careers in their formative years.

Mark Crossley tells a good story, he approached Clough about a new contract, Clough said come back on Monday. Crossley went back on Monday, sign it was a blank contract.

possibly something you could write a book about. even worse now with these acadamies signing kids just after they started school in the hope they,ll make it in 10 years time. we all know how we matured as kids and at different times. for some they had an easy life by being kids in mens bodies but in time they get found out through no fault of there own.
