Shame he didn't get to play a bit more for Pools but his 6 game loan spell in 1997 was enough to keep us in the football league - and he scored in the win at Feethams!

I was the only Poolie in the Darlo Directors Box that day and couldn't stop myself from gloating when the final whistle went. Their fans had come to the game expecting to send us down. Never got invited back for some reason

I unexpectedly got to that game at Feethams and couldn't get a ticket in the away end so I chanced my arm in the home stand. I'd managed to control myself and not reveal my allegiance until the Brown goal when I was the only person anywhere near me who was up celebrating his goal. Thought I was in for a battering but escaped unscathed.

Well done.
Remember the late winner at Accrington when Humphries scored the winner.
Me oldest son had 2 pots on his legs so we went in the home seats.
We went absolute mental when we scored.

The Accy fans were brilliant.
Shakeing our hands and wished us all the best for the rest of the season which was Promotion under Danny Wilson.

Always had respect for Accy from that day.
