Brackley unbeaten for four or five games. They dont score many but they have decent defense. We drew with them at the Vic earlier in the season. I wonder if we will have an unforseen shit show like Woking or will it be a more sedate but equally disappointing narrow loss? Is a draw the most likely outcome? I am going for a 0-0.

0-1, Danny Johnson finally gets his goal, by kicking the ball against his own face straight into the top corner.

shock 3-2 defeat, but they are a good side on a decent run and in a false position in the league.

Pharrell Brown loan deal extended for a month - should we be happy? Reading between the lines of Feaths latest comments it would appear that he would have preferred to have a couple of of reinforcements in the squad to face a tough Brackley side who are clearly in a false position. Both Holohan and/or Wearne would boost the squad, many of whom must be tired from the recent run of games coupled with the raw excitement of the takeover.

Admittedly he's effectively a raw youth, Brown has hardly pulled up trees so far but Feaths obviously feels that there is a footballer in there. Can't see him making any difference tomorrow so I think Brackley will become the latest opposition to outplay Pools - but no get out of jail card this time. 3-1 Brackley.

Always pulled in there for petrol on the way down to Portsmouth, just never imagined we’d be playing football against them….especially when we have a population six times as big…?

1 each for me, in what will be my first game of the new era, at my nearest Pools fixture.

Just hope we play better than we did last season- when we were shockingly shit during Uncle Darren's last match in charge.

Reid with 3rd goal in 3 games before we concede late on.

Crowd 2228
370 Poolies in attendance

Will watch it more in hope than anything else . I’ve only watched Groundhog Day twice on the Telly but on my iPad watching Pools about 15 times or more. Nothings going to change till next season . Sick of hearing Featherstone talking up the 15 to 20 mins each match we play acceptable . On paper another bore draw or narrow defeat 0-1 . I hate being negative but only can report what I see not what I hear from Featherstones dour post match analysis .

worse than that is nailsworth fgr. bought a car there over 20 years back, picked it up on a saturday and went to a match at there old ground. if someone had told me then we,d be playing them and they,d be above us in the league i,d have made a phone call to the local nut house telling them a patiant had escaped.

Against a powerhouse of a team like Brackley town, a modest club such as Hartlepools United can only hope for a goalless draw with the outside hope of a late penalty to pinch the points.

well the real madrid of northamptonshire could not beat us at the fortress vic so that should give the players some confidence. then the team talk and they,ll be like lame prey for lions.

Wondering if you heard Featherstone saying "Do not under any circumstances cross the half way line except for Reidy".

I'm hearing changes today as 3 games in a week is to much for some players.

8 day week in Fevs world.

Honestly haven't got a clue how today's result will pan out.

33 minutes and we have stopped them scoring which is actually brilliant given how powerful and superior they are. I notice York quietly dismantling Braintree. 4-0 last I looked.

Anyone watching the game got any description? I am guessing Pools defending the edge of their area and haven't had a shot either on or off target. Am I right?

Calm down.
Still 27 mins away from when we allowed to attack with our Supersubs!

I dunno about that. I am sure Feaths would rather have a 0-0 than an away win. If Brackley dont score, I doubt he will make any changes.

Lovely build up play from both teams. Pools playing with energy moving the ball quickly and getting numbers in the box . Charman playing quite well but the one negative is the final ball. Nothing in it Brackley hit the bar earlier . But much better

Well at least I was entertained even though it was a 0/0. Even game but Pools stronger last 20 mins. Positives for me quick movement , nice passing and numbers in the box. 6 or 7 at times. Subs played well too. Folarin and Brown in particular . Negatives final ball at times but did have some shots on target . Hustled abd bustled and chased for the ball back when we lost it. Can’t fault the effort . Better than the last 2 matches without scoring . I said after the Rochdale game don’t go back to playing reactive and we did with useless punts. When we want we are a good passing side . Congrats.

Watched the game on DAZN. 2 points dropped no question, but for the record Pools were the better side and made more chances than Brackley in BOTH halves.

2nd half was very scrappy. After the game got stretched we should have won it. As mentioned, there were no replays shown but I thought the first disallowed goal looked OK.

As for the subs, Folarin looked like a potential matchwinner for about 5 minutes after he got on, then for some reason stopped taking his man on. Daly did OK, but then so did Campbell, who might have scored but for a flying save from their keeper.

I missed the first 10 minutes but found it all a bit laboured and plodding performance all round…if you want entertainment, turn up for the last twenty minutes when the subs are brought on.
It’s not entertaining, it’s an endurance…….just about bearable with three points, disappointing without the points.

Been to the game today and definitely felt like two points dropped. Think we paid them a bit too much respect in the first half, resulting in them hitting the bar with a header after about twenty mins.

The defence played well, though we desperately need a left back as whilst Benn did ok on his opposite side, his final ball is more miss than hit. Campbell played well and had a couple of decent chances. Reid continues to cut an isolated figure and Charman put in a decent shift but without any luck.

Hayes didn't have a lot to do, but did well when he was called upon. Made a good save in the second half and was also good to see him command his box well by coming for a couple of crosses.

From where I was stood behind the goal, thought Kougan's goal should have stood- though would have to see it back- think he was flagged for offside- sure they had a player on the line playing him on.
Charman's goal think was flagged for a foul- again I'd have to see it back as the ball was pinging around in the area, with bodies everywhere.

Think we needed the subs on a bit earlier- after about an hour rather than 70 mins plus. Also seemed a bit pointless putting Johnson on for the last 5 mins- should have had more of a run out.

They had a good chance to score a winner at the death but their lad thankfully fluffed his lines- would have been unjust had we lost. They were no great shakes despite Fev talking them up Pre match. Didn't hear the crowd figure, though couldn't have been more than 1200 in attendance. Their fans were really quiet throughout. Reckon there was about 150 Poolies present.

Going forward, I think we need to be more gung-ho! We won't be relegated and whilst the playoffs seem unlikely with SARFend having so many games in hand- it seems to me that Fev has pretty much got a free hit, until the end of the season. He just has to get past the infamous game number 17 (think that was no.15 today)!
