'Exclusive' interview - well it would be, he's not talking to any other media outlet - tonight at 6pm on The Red Radio online: https://thereduk.com/how-to-listen/
or by downloading The Red Radio App onto your phone.

Apparently he's going to "set the record straight about the current ownership situation, club management and his regrets over what mistakes have been made."

I imagine the last bit won't take long. Like Donald Trump and the Pope, he's infallible

If you'd like to save yourself 20 minutes...

Point 1. Raj is doing his best and his mission is to leave the club in a better situation than he found it (fair enough).
Point 2: Finances are solid to keep the club running as it is (according to Raj - and that's what we've got right now, so again. Fair enough).
Point 3. The takeovers in the Summer were all time wasters as none of them coughed up the funds (despite Raj writing off 2/3 of the debts - which are owed to him, even though he owns the club I presume?).
Point 4. Any regrets? Yes - Managerial/off the field appointments. There have been some stinkers.

To summarise. Raj needs to get rid of the fuckwits that he's appointed to advise him about football and he reckons we need to get behind the team.

But for us to REALLY get behind the team - the team has to stop disappointing us over and over again. Simple as that.

I’d like to listen, but I’ll be watching ‘Adolf Hitler’s Celebrity Welding Tips ‘ Series on the telly.
Ah well.

As you say......... fair enough.
I have no ambition for the club as we have always been in a similar situation.
It would be worse.

I'd f prefer it if he would talk to Radio Tees and bury the petulance once and for all. Fans are sick of this back stabbing that surrounds Pools. The spirit around the club is dreadful and I can imagine the players feel that as well.

Basically we’re on the road to nowhere, shuffling along free from the tiresome burden of ambition.

Worryingly it seems the fan base is actually losing interest, and although some stay aways might return once Raj has gone, the longer it goes on like this the more likely they'll continue to stay away once they're into a routine of doing other things on matchdays.
If ever we needed a cup run it was right now to reinvigorate support, the support is not going to improve until performances and results do, embarrassing that a club owner hasn't cottoned on to this basic fact about football supporters.

it does not help the fans who mostly turn up with hope that gets dashed eventually making the vic quieter than the nabinian desert at midnight.

he has never been one himself and only knows second hand from someone similar about football fans feelings. its not football to some without a free meal pre match.

To have any success, however smaller fleeting, the people at the top have to have the same ambition and will to win as the humblest person on the terraces.

Fully agree PTID, even taking into account those fans who steadfastly refuse to visit the Vic until such time that Raj has left his office door swinging in the wind, I feel that there is a greater apathy than ever in respect of the 'Towns Club'. Apart from a few who still attend home matches, none of my circle of 'friends' even mention Pools anymore let alone visit the Vic, regardless of how the team is doing. You never see kids wearing Pools shirts outside of the Vic these days - even 5-10 years back you would regularly see them in the shops and streets.

Whilst the emergence of Raj Singh's opinions is better than nothing it would indeed be preferable if he buried the hatchet with the Mail and Radio Tees and at least try to generate some positivity regarding the club around the town and local area. IMO Raj would do well to ditch some of the ineffective, background hangers-on and appoint a professional, part time PR representative for the club.

This only my opinion but it feels as though Raj is slowly but surely strangling the life out of the club. He must know deep down that the club is on an ever steeper downward trajectory.

Yes its got to end. Radio Tees did positively showcase Pools and now the club hardly gets a mention its just Boro Boro Boro!

Supporting Pools is like waiting to board a plane and taking off…but the engines keep coughing and no one ever boards the damn thing…..it’s like we’re waiting for something to happen, but the engines are run to convince every one that it will take off…but it never does.

The Radio Tees huff is irritating ….it’s a vital link with the fans and these shenanigans are more fitted to a playground…it’s pathetic.

Hit the nail on the head. I binned my season ticket three years back (after fifty years of suffering) - went pretty regularly for a season and now go rarely - why? Fed Up of the rinse and repeat crap. Alienated by the Man Himself. And, crucially, have found alternative ways to spend a Saturday - local rugby or football - why make the effort to travel to Pools when I can go and watch a game, much cheaper, closer to home (and with better bar facilities)?

Would that be the Namibian desert? Or is there a new desert I haven't heard of?

I haven't listened to it, not sure I can be bothered really. They really must sort this bbc tees and Mail nonsense out. As above, both Rob's who are banned promoted the club, it is the club that is missing out and dying without any coverage on the media outlets people can easily tune in to.
Of all the short sighted pools things over the years, banning the press is petty and doing nothing but damage to the club.

Extremely stupid to ban the media, especially radio which keeps many people in touch with our club when for whatever reason they can't get to games. These are supporters who might lose interest altogether and be lost for ever. Surely as a business plan it makes sense to attract more support not less although the business plan if there is one at Pools is flawed to the extreme judging by the direction the club is going.
The stand off between Pools and Tees will only be resolved by arbitration as both sides rightly or wrongly are entrenched in their positions. I know there's plenty on here who dislike Mr Pearson to extremes, but what I don't understand is why in his position of supposedly improving the matchday experience, he isn't attempting to sort out a compromise. At the end of the day I think his personal priority would be club before owner and he was a staunch supporter before Raj came in and will be after Raj has gone. It needs sorting out for the benefit of the fans and the business.

its not as if fans have stupid ambitions either like pools playing at the top flight. think league 2 and the odd season in league one is not much to ask. plus the odd cup run that others seem to manage time to time with less fans than pools have got.

Rob Law is now spending his Saturdays as a Final Score match summariser. Can't see him wanting to come back to Pools. Nice to hear his dulcet tones again.
