It's OK, Rachel from Accounts says that the ticket money will be put to good use.

They're that desperate if a general election was called they'd try to get that cancelled too, or rigged

What a bit of whataboutery Mr Snowy. This is not about all local elections as you state. It's about setting up new mayors in areas where they didn't exist.

‘Whataboutery’…..? Is any part of what I said a lie….?

The new Mayors stuff is bollocks….previously in 73 and 96 when this was done, there was no need to interrupt the ‘flow’ of politics and those transitions saw no need to disrupt voting patterns.
I actually experienced it.

Oh dear…… that really is desperation on your part.
‘all elections’ due to take place…..is that better…?
The end result remains the same.

Farage has more brains in his foot than this current government front bench has between them, they really are as dim as dishwater, a bunch of pathological liars who whatever they do manage to piss off 70% of the electorate, they'll be polling worse than the Monster Raving Loony party next.

You can twist it as much as you like…the elections have been halted……
Petty nit picking on your part…changes nothing…..nowt new there.
The end outcome remains the same.

Find me a quote where I’ve ever supported him…there isn’t one.
Your trouble is, you’ll vote for who you always vote for…but when the time comes, I’ll cynically vote for whoever offers me the best deal.
Politicians are like dogs jumping for a treat, I use them, they don’t get my loyalty.

At the end of the day what government wouldn’t cancel local elections if they know they were going to get trounced.

Voters have the right to expect local elections to take place as scheduled. What will this lot do next, postpone General elections ad infinitum until they have a chance. I wouldn't put it past them.

Labour think they’re managing things, they’re not, they’re panicking big time and showing naive political clumsiness in their actions.
This change has occurred several times in the past few decades and local elections never cancelled.
Instead of local councils they’re opting for much bigger councils remote from the their local bases and centralised out of town in the majority of cases…local politics will mean nothing as everything will centre around the regional HQ choice of location, we’ll all be a voice in the distance and any local councillors outnumbered by others fighting for a share of a wider area’s finances.
Power and expenditure will be at the centre of control and money spent improving the local ‘capital’..prepare to be forgotten.
If we end up with an expanded Cleveland, the Boro will get the gig again and the same mistakes made again

Yeah the Labour government (and their predecessors) are doing such a good job with our NHS, every hospital I've visited lately has corridors in and around A&E rammed with patients who can't get a bed, or can't get to see a doctor as they're on strike. The ones who are working are too busy on the phone talking to translators paid for by you and I as the patient they are currently treating doesn't speak any English.

Did you see that there are record numbers of teachers joining the profession? Also record money for Defence, the economy is steady, inflation down, stock market up, bond market coming down, interest rates falling? On pension trip!e lock protected with an above inflation rise, the NHS is going in the right direction despite the issues you rightly mention. Immigration is down and apparently for those Brita leaving many of them have foreign spouses. Reform take money from someone who can't be arsed to live here. Also all these people who move to Dubai, definitely not patriots and going to Sharia law? We live in a bizarre matrix world.

The NHS is a massive organisation, it employs 1.5 million people in England alone, you expect it to be sorted in a matter of months, it will take years to sort out, it’s institutionalised.
The whole economy would collapse and the Bank of England having to bail the country out, interest rates would go rocket like they did under the Truss tenure and still haven’t returned to the levels pre Truss.
Triple Lock would go, benefits would be cut and if the current bunch of Reform councillors are anything go by the U.K. will be in the sh**. There are 650 sitting MPs ok Reform might not contest all the seats but who is going to vet them Farage admitted he can’t.
Dear me even Tice messed up the other day on TV when questioned about Farage and his school days and ironically Farage has been keeping a low profile since the allegations. Why did he not stand up and say yes I did say those things but who didn’t say things they now regret. He turned his ire on TV channels about being racist but not one of the programmes ever mentioned about gassing the Jews.

All sounds very nice, Poolie 27 but the real World doesn't appear to agree with you, as shown by their current rating which has gone below 14%.
As always it will go tits up when they run out of other people's money.
You didn't mention their relentless fleecing of the people who create jobs in order to fund the lazy buggers who won't have a job.
But let's have a Merry Christmas without singing "In the bleak mid winter"

But inflation is actually up since the GE last summer really isn't it? Pensioners have indeed benefited from the Triple Lock but many have also lost the WFA altogether or had it smashed by £200 effectively rubbishing the Triple Lock. Illegal immigration (the type that's costing us many millions of pounds, and that which is causing so much grief across the country) is up at record levels, unemployment is rising monthly, more businesses are failing monthly, and you can't get a Dr or dentist appointment for love nor money, and taxes are at record high levels, with HMRC preparing to chase people even after death.
Can anyone other than benefit claimants, and the already highly rewarded Jnr Drs actually claim life in the UK has improved since the GE?

Farage and Reform aren't (mis)-managing today's shit show though are they?
Less than 18 months into term and the second of 2 petitions calling for a GE is dilute to be debated in Parliament next month, says it all really doesn't it?

Explain why they should or could mention ‘Gassing the Jews’…… how do you know?
Tasteless.
As usual, a ramble about the NHS where you mention only Truss, Farage and Tice..but no actual Government Ministers…..more guff from the Minister of Mirth.

Morally judging anything done or said by today's standards is desperate stuff. Who among us enjoyed watching the like of Alf Garnett, Love Thy Neighbour? Who can hold their hand up and say that in their formative years pre-adulthood that they never said anything that in today's woke society would be deemed racist, homophobic, or otherwise offensive. If the worst dirt they've got on him is schoolboy name-calling or banter then he's pretty much squeaky clean I'd say.

I’m a bit older than Farage and in my teens I went to three different schools. A posh private one, a rough/awful comprehensive and finally a pretty good comprehensive. In that time I never once heard the sort of things being said that Farage allegedly said. I witnessed bullying and bad behaviour, fights and childish insults, I’ve even seen the headmaster of one of these schools pushed into the swimming pool in front of the whole school at a sports day - that was great, he had it coming

I agree, you can’t judge yesterday’s happenings by todays standards but on saying that, if these allegations are true - it’s not banter. To say it’s normal 70s behaviour is simply not accurate.

I find it pathetic that people are having to go back to when a person was 13 years old to dig up supposed dirt on them because they're that desperate to sour their reputation.

I was pals with a Jewish lad in our school, a boys high school where a group in the class once justified the actions of the SS because they were ‘only obeying orders’….they were talking bollocks of course but that sort of thing was common place and a despite the Holocaust there was plenty of anti-Semitic people about and saw nothing wrong with being anti Jewish …which was also bollocks.
It was common place but faded over the years like anti gay stuff….prople eventually got got better informed about life.. and basically grew up and learnt what life is about.

Still say this Farage thing is pure political desperation, by people who really should know better.
Once it gets ‘dirty’ like this it can backfire.

The ones who are working are too busy on the phone talking to translators paid for by you and I as the patient they are currently treating doesn't speak any English.

'Every Hospital I've visited lately'....you ok hun??

I’ve been to the James Cook about maybe 30 times since the start of September and not seen one person on a bed in a corridor. I’ve been to the Friarage in Northallerton about 10 times and likewise.

Local government elections bring out the protest vote which is a wake up call for the reigning government.
General elections are a different thing with people voting in a more serious way reflecting on who or who not they think will responsibility run the country for the next 5 years.
The conservative party is not finished and many within it would not touch Reform with a barge pole and the other parties have a firm body of support.
Interesting times.

Wether he said it or not at 13 means feck all though does it? I don't know of any kid who hasn't said extremely hurtful or malicious stuff to other kids at that age.
It's all he said she said stuff anyway and if there's no proof of law breaking where's the issue?
It's all diversionary stuff because the big 2 party's and MSM are running scared.
If the MSM had proof they'd be streaming it 24/7.
