how many different providers is there now to watch televised live football. I,ll stick with DAZN only until we get back into the league.

There seems to be no Ashes cricket highlights on the BBC with only TNT having it.
This will mean another sport lost to the general population.
The list of protected sports available to all needs to be extended and as Mr Accy says the list of providers just gets longer and longer.
The PL will be on Disney soon which is apt.

All U.K. sport should be free to watch end off.

It seems like a bit of a stitch up to me, more and more ppv providers spreading the product more thinly and fleecing the gullible who'll pay more and more to see all the games, or alternatively encouraging more to find ways to watch for free.

the next move is one of the providers offering money they cannot refuse to get rid of the 3pm saturday blackout. lets face it since covid i have watched pools on a screen away than i have ever seen them in my lifetime.

All live sport should be PPV apart from showcase events like Cup Finals, Ryder Cup, Wimbledon finals, the Ashes etc. But you should be able to pay a reasonable one-off fee for each thing you want to watch, not have to take out full annual subscriptions to 7 different networks that include all kind of different sports that you would never watch in your life.

My Sky Sports subscription now includes Darts, Motor Sports, NFL, Basketball etc. I’ve no interest in any of them, but still have to pay for them to watch the channels that I do want to see.

i have a so called smart tv and can pick up the odd football game on sky i fancy watching via my now box and pay one game at a time like i did for the peterborugh v stockport game last thursday night. be doing the same next saturday dinner time when stockport play barnsley just to takle the piss out of my lad who has been quiet this weekend.

When one subscribes to watch the likes of Sky, TNT etc you are paying to stop others watching.
Things were much better when we only had BBC and ITV and we could watch all the major events for the price of a licence.

i was quite happy back a couple of seasons when clubs did there own live visual screening of mid week games and in the international breaks. £9.99 was a bargain for a mid week game at the vic with local commentators and could take take of the away ones as well. wonder if pools made more out of that than they get from DAZN.

I took out an annual subscription with DAZN and I am pleased I did as it gives me the ability to watch every game, with a fair few on a live basis. I can also watch other games in our league, with a few of them live as well. I think the idea will progress and it won't be long before the 3pm Saturday blackout is slackened. I don't think the prem would suffer if games in our league were live on a Saturday. I don't attend prem matches full stop, no matter when they kick off, and there must be plenty more like me.
I have no prem clubs on my doorstep to go to anyway. Nottingham Forest and Leeds are both approx 80 mile round trips.
Not worth the hassle or the expense/time.

both manc clubs are less than half the distance it is to the vic and leeds even closer with a regular direct train. however even if i got a free ticket i would not go to any of them places especially if i decided to come up for a game. the premier league is like fine dining, looks over real substance where i,m more of a greasy spoon breakfast man or a verrills eater.
