It’s that time of year when the blokes over 40, persuaded by their other half to get their calves of their legs tattooed with some Victorian wallpaper pattern, are forced to wear shorts all winter to display their legs under the delusion anyone cares.

Sounds about right. In my experience, those with tattooes are desperate to show their inky 'art' to the rest of the world because they are sadly desperate for the attention. Fecking narcissists.

Going back a few years we were at Buxton and I was sat on a bench waiting for the wife when a bloke looking like Foggy off Last of the Summer Wine…..tall and dressed like a coiffured game keeper, in his seventies….. stood waiting too…what caught my eye was the little gold ear ring in one ear…a unlikely culture clash definitely.

There was a big Caribbean type bloke having a piss next to me in the bogs once and i happened to look down  and i noticed he had a tattoo.
He looked at me and i quickly said......ah is your wife called Wendy?
No he said, it says "Welcome to Jamaica, have a nice day"

Not a fan of the 'tough sticker' either.
But if you do feel the need, keep them to yourself.
Why people get them on their face, neck, hands or basically anywhere that can't be easily covered up, is a mystery to me.

Women who have them on their tits, actually frighten me!
At the risk of sounding controversial, I've also never understood why black people bother getting them either.

Some people are like like sheep on tranquillisers and gormlessly follow any ‘fashion’ for no reason other than being part of the pack mentality….
What woman was ever ‘improved’ by a tattoo…I think in most cases nature did a smashing job without some scribbled tat to be part of the chav flock.

Even the Police have tattoos, shaved heads and beards, for me if a Policeman has any visible tattoos they should be covered and they should be clean shaven.

I can't come to terms with seeing young women progressively ruining their physical appeal by increasing their tattoo obsession. The odd discreet bit of ink can sometimes be acceptable but tattoos don't have the same effect as subtle use of make up. My wife and daughter very rarely wear make up and their complexion reflects that. My daughter is 36 next month and she still gets asked for ID. They both have smiles that light up a room. I suppose I'm biased but that's how it should be.

Why?? You'll have to come up with something pretty good to make me agree with you on this like.

You have your opinion, others have theirs.
The comment about black people and tattoo’s on here was quite harmless and taken out of context.
Traffic on here is neither here nor there.

As for black people getting tattoos, why not change the ink to a white one?

Do you really expect me to explain something so obvious…..there’s sensitivity and there’s sensitivity.

does seem odd that there seems to be more racist cards in the packs owned by whites than non whites seem to own.

Big play is made about tattoo’s how their improved equipment allows much finer imagery and detail…which is true…..BUT….. the human skin remains the same and will eventually blur out.
